I;m sorry that there are some mistakes because of the poor English....

The "60,000" is the approximate number of immigrants that Canada accept each year as a federal skilled workers. It was 76,964 Federal skilled workers admitteed in 2008. If they set 20,000 cap for federal skilled workers for a year, then the number will be "decreased", right?

The 20000 + their family is FSW1 it doesn't include those with an AEO.

Make a request to the British Council or center where you had your exam and ask them to send to an overseas address that is accessible to you. They will send it and you can pick it up from there and attach to your application to NS. It will normally cost you a token.

No please but find out from them if they can send to you directly. From my experience, they only send you 1 personal copy and thereafter to overseas addresses on payment of an extra fee. But ask them first, you may lucky to have them send to you directly.

Again, note that they should NOT send to either CIO or VO directly on your behalf, it is not permitted.

Yes, exactly they only send one personal copy. Before I send that copy in my other application, I already asked British Council if they can issue me another copy, but they don't. What they can do is to send the test result directly to where it is required. Also, you are correct that the guideline emphasized that the result should not be sent directly from the testing center. But how can they verify my result then. I still have a certified true copy of it. Do you think providing an affidavit of loss and an explanation letter will suffice it? I will also ask the testing center to send it to them.

They will accept the documents from the date they stamp the receiving date. When the document is received at the CIO, office even at the reception, they mark the date and usually that date should be applicable, but what I have seen and heard from my friends, that when the documents packet is forwarded to the right department that date is marked and usually if your packet reaches them on 1st July they usually send it to the department same day or next day and that date is marked.

So I do not think if you sent the packet and if it reaches them after June, 25th 2010, new rules will be applicable.

From the CIC website, it looks like they will globally process 20,000 application for FSW Category (Excluding FSW - AEO) and that is for 12months. Summary is:-

- CIO will process only 20,000 applications for FSW and forward them to local visa office to keep the Quota at 20,000 per 12 months.
- 1000 per NOC means that globally there can only be only 1000 - "0631 Restaurant and Food Service Managers" application being processed and not more then that.
- The 20,000 limit is for applicants and doesn't count the family members.

By processing they mean that once the documents are approved by CIO, the local visa office will only process the case if it is:-

1. Below or equal to the 1000 per NOC mark globally &,
2. If it is below or equal to the 20,000 quota of FSW globally.

The number will keep ticking. So better to apply as soon as possible now as the quota is limited.

Actually they do not need the original to validate your results. I am not sure CIO or VO has specifically requested for original results, photocopy could be adequate. However, be warned that if they have requested for originals, please give it to them! Your best bet is to give them an overseas address where you have a reliable person who can receive it and send to you.
