The occupation that one intends to apply under in the forthcoming new FSWP is already included in the mandatory NOC of Skilled Trade Class category which is open right now. My question is that how likely is it that this occupation would also be included in the NOC of New FSWP. Thanks

Not very likely. I would be surprised if any occupation listed in skilled trade appeared in FSW.

Namaste, one of my friend is under preparation to apply in the occupation already listed in the FSTC. Should he sit with the fingers crossed till the new NOC list is revealed, what would you suggest !

If an occupation is already listed on the FSTC list then I don't think there is any chance that same occupation will appear on the FSW list. Your friend should stop preparing for FSW and focus his efforts on FSTC instead.

I'm wondering about this too. If his occupation is on the list for FSTC, why would he even care about FSWP? It's actually better that his occupation is already on the list, and is processed separately than FSWP applications.

Remember that, at least from MI-3, some of the trade occupations did not even go close to meeting the 500 application individual NOC cap, but the total cap of 10,000 applications got reached much faster. If your friend can already qualify under FSTC, there is no point at all to wait for FSWP to re-open. Not to mention that, FSTC may actually be much faster!

Dear asbereth,

He doesn't have an offer letter from Canada, I think he needs to have one to be able to qualify for applying under FSTC. That's why he is pinning hopes with new list, cheers.

Job offer is not required. But, if he doesn't have a job offer, what he needs is "a certificate of qualification in that skilled trade issued by a provincial or territorial body". Ask your friend to find out how to get such certificate. Read the following link for more info:

Dear namaste,

I have a one question. How we can get the certificate from outside Canada?
I think for this we have to study there

1. For the Red Seal you have to be in Canada to write. So without it, you need the job offer.

In order to get this certificate you must pass the test. You can take the test only in Canada. In order to apply for the test you must submit Canadian or USA ID (I wrote to all teritorial organizations and this is the answer that I've got). So, I don't see how someone who plans to immigrate can get this certificate. Unless you get a job offer (it is easier to win a Nobel prize).
