Obtaining transcript/degree from India for Educational Credential Assessment (ECA)

Dear friends, I am currently in USA on H1B.

I am trying to figure Educational Credential Assessment (ECA). Is there a way to obtain documents from (multiple) Universities in India while I am in USA. I was evaluating if I should use 3rd party services for this purpose and so wanted to check if any of you guys have used the same for India, from outside. Our (mine & my wife's) universities are in North India (Uttar Pradesh) at Allahabad, Lucknow, Varanasi & Jaunpur.
Here are 2 3rd parties that i found and I am seeing both good & bad review for them.

I was in a similar situation to yours. In the end, I didn't use either of these services. I was able to obtain transcripts from Delhi University and ICAI by sending someone on my behalf with signed authority letters. It took a little time but in the end was able to submit everything. As long as there is someone (family or friend) who is willing to do this on your behalf.

Thanks for your response. I really do not have people in those cities. That is the main issue and so exploring alternate options.

I'm not sure about the 3rd party services, others might suggest better. But generally, you can mail to the college and tell your problem. They might post it to some Indian address on your approval (of your friends or relatives who can post you).

Hi did they ask for originals. Because I have the originals with me. Will a authority letter and copies of the mark sheet do.
