Hello All,
I have a valid driving license which is issued in Iran 2 and a half years ago and it is valid till 2023. How is it possible for me to obtain a driving license in Montreal? I read about the issue in https://saaq.gouv.qc.ca/permis-de-conduire/permis-etranger/. It is mentioned that a proof of residence is necessary. Does anyone know what this proof is? Also, any comments about the issue will be appreciated.

Warm Regards,
Ali

foodie69,
Hi
Thanks for your reply. I had reviewed SAAQ and the page which you had mentioned, but I would like to know whether I should apply for driving license for a second time after I exchange my driving license or the driving license will be treated as a normal driving license which is natively issued in Quebec?

Warm Regards,
Ali

I doubt Iran license can be exchanged for a Quebec license. You need to be resident of Canada and Quebec to apply for Quebec license. The minimum time to get a license in Quebec is 13 months(bare minimum). There are various pratical and classroom training that needs to be completed first(takes 13 months min)...Check the website posted above..It has all the info.

It has all the steps outlined. All you have to do is read them. It won't get much clearer..
