Looks like applicants who have had their Test / Interview at 7.45am at Mississauga, mostly don't get Oath invite on the spot.

It's the afternoon batch that is mostly getting the Oath invite on the spot.

Anybody who took the test at 7.45am at Mississauga and got the Oath invite right after the interview, please comment.

Also, applicants who didn't get Oath invite on the spot, please let us know the time lines for receiving Oath Invite letter by mail / phone call after the Test / Interview.

Feedback would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Hi friends:

I passes test on end of May , 2014 at Mississauga office, during interview I provided original passports which were total 4, however, last one i got just 6 months before from my native country's Toronto office and visited native country in February 2014 for month after i laid off my job. Officer was confused , because she has record of my last 3 passports, I gave copy of new passport she further confused to saw that, i have visited on new passport, meanwhile, time was about 3:45 PM(15 Minutes left to close their office) . she asked me to wait out side and after 1 minute she came out side and told me we are not giving you oath letter today, upon my request she told me , we will check your privacy, I have seen my ATIP report in which they requested " ICES"

Now 4 months past, i don't know how much time further i have to wait for Otah letter :-(

Any buddy have any up date / information, please help me

The most miserable thing about this from what we read here is that there are no darn differences whatsoever between our test interviews "for ppl who didn't get the darn Oath letter right after that blessed 7:45 AM test/interview day" & others who got it. And what made it a real unfortunate piss off misery is that CIC don't give reasons nor explain as to why they won't give out the Oath If that's their new thing they do with applicants now for the same office!??!... some ppl get it "I ain't complainin' here.... that's absolutely great for 'em" & some others "like our cases" don't get it with no questions asked & no reasons given!... I don't wanna sound like a wise guy...nor funny.. but I really noticed from reading thru the threads here that the ppl attended the 7:45 AM session do Not get the Oath on the spot!?

Let's just keep our hopes Up...

Hi rash74,

I have more or less smailier situation and I did my test in Feb 2014 7 months went by and nothing atip shows they requested ices and the reviewd it but requested more docs to make positive decision but nothing was requested from me? How far they go with their privacy check? All other reports and checkes are done as per atip so not sure how far they are going to check?

Hi Osamaamany;

How's ur case doin'? Did u get the Oath letter yet?

Below here is an answer to your question: a definition of the ICES: Integrated Customs Enforcement System (“ICES”)

Anyone plz feel free to correct me here If I'm mistakin'.

ICES is a national Canadian database of lookout information and enforcement activities that, amongst other things, contains information about Canadians "or ppl live in Canada" who have come into contact with CBSA, or individuals who might seek to enter the country and might pose a risk. In addition to traveller records, ICES contains information on customs seizures for a period of five years. As well, ICES contains a record of every vehicle (and theoretically individual person) entry into Canada. (Practitioners generally request copies of ICES when representing individuals in permanent resident card renewal applications.)

From my understanding in regard to us as citizenship applicants, when CIC askin' for the ICES report, is they wanna check the applicant "exit/entry to/from USA thru the CBSA mainly by land "using a vehicle". It's a sort of CBSA report but I believe for land crossing... (Individual & Vehicle) report(s).
And I'm NOT sure If we can obtain that report(s) individually on our own, the way we do CBSA report or OHIP medical report or other reports!

Integrated Customs Enforcement System

Through the Integrated Customs Enforcement System (ICES) program, the CBSA has, since 2004, been collecting information on travellers crossing the Canada-U.S. border. The program is in place at all major airports, selected highway crossings and cruise ship facilities.

Personal information – name, date of birth, citizenship, address, mode of travel, purpose of travel and value of goods purchased abroad – is collected from customs declaration forms and matched with data from other CBSA sources to form a passage history.

Computers analyse passage histories to pinpoint people who have unusual or suspicious travel patterns. These individuals may be earmarked for closer scrutiny by customs officials and law enforcement agents.

What you should know:

The Integrated Customs Enforcement System (ICES) is an automated system used by frontline customs inspectors, intelligence and investigations staff to collect personal information related to cross-border travel.
ICES also contains records on arrests, seizures and customs investigations.
Using ICES, CBSA officers are able to create, access, maintain and issue “lookouts.” A lookout flags or identifies particular travellers or vehicles on the basis of risk indicators or other available intelligence.
Some travellers may be pulled over for secondary inspections or searches. In that case, all related information is also entered into the ICES database, including the reason for the additional screening; the results of the search; interview notes; identity information such as name, age, address, citizenship, licence and passport numbers; details of any CBSA actions taken (for example, if the individual was searched, arrested or detained), and the names of travel companions.
Personal information collected under this program is retained for six years.

She never had any security problem and never crossed by land or air to US ... But the question is why they requested it !! ...they stopped us in the custom one time in the airport while we were coming back From a short trip to Georgia ...May be because of that? I don't know

My daughter and me did the test yesterday Sept. 23, at 9:45 AM. They gave us the Oath invitations right away after the test and the interview. The Oath date will be on Sept. 29th.
