Hi All,
Mississauga office is not always giving oath invitations immediately after the test (even if they have no concerns for a specific application). I am opening this topic to track timelines for receiving oath invitations specifically for Mississauga.
Thanks for sharing your timelines here.

Hi Sophie,
I'm new to this forum, but when I went over many threads here, I found your timeline is pretty close to my spouse & mine.
As u mentioned here, Mississauga office doesn't always hand out Oath letters. My spouse & I just like u also had our test in Mississauga office & NO ONE was given Oath letter after passing interview. We were even told it will take 2 - 4 months to get Oath letter by mail.
But I also read in this forum, that recently CIC-offices can call up applicants who'd done their tests & Interview & passed them to ask If they r available to attend short notice Oath taking ceremonies.
So let's not panic (eventhou waiting is not an easy thing specially after we know they NOW even hand out Oath letters in Scarborough Office!).
We'll Keep our phones ON at all time during business hours "even in weekends" - & who knows!
Hopefully we'll get it soon.
Best of luck to all of us.

Thanks Marky Mark!
The interviewer told us we should receive the oath invitations in 10 business days. More than a month so far and nothing yet :(
Not very fair the entire process, but what can we do?
Good luck, I hope we get the invitations soon.

Hi Sophie_Anne,

Did you try calling and checking with an cic agent, if the test results were updated etc. etc.?
What does your e-cas status show?

Thanks and Regards.

Yeah, results were updated the very next day. We called a couple of times, they only said everything looked normal, no special notes etc.
We have a trip planned to Europe beginning of October and we are running out of time :(

In the begining I thought maybe only perfect scores can get the applicant the Oath letter on the spot right after the test & interview!... but this also came out to be NOT true since we have here at least an applicant who received 19/20 & was handed the Oath right after the interview!... and from the Scarborough office "which is great for them".
I thought maybe becaue of the darn report from the CBSA.. but also some applicants who not only didn't take CBSA report but dismiss the passport stamps translations as well & they were given the Oath right after!
Who knows what was the actual reason behind the Oath invitation hadn't been given to us right after the test/interview.!?... but I'm sure there are lots of applicants in the same shoes we're in right now !
I just hope they ain't thinking of post test RQ :( or any other requests that will elongate our apps to looooooonger processing time!
Let's keep our hopes high & fingers crossed!...

As far as my reading goes on this forum, Mississauga office is not very popular when it comes to issuing Pre-Test RQ's, so forget about Post-Test RQ's.

I don't recollect reading about any applicant from Mississauga office receiving a Post Test RQ.

At all if any Post Test RQ's are to be issued, I feel they are handed right on the spot after interview when a suspicion of Residency comes to their mind during interview.

I would say possibility of RQ is nil, if you had a good interview.

Cheers

I took my oath today in Mississauga .here is my timeline .i hope It can help

1. We received your application on February 19,2014

2. We sent you a letter receipt and discover canada on February 19, 2014

3. We started processing your application March 31st 2014

4. We sent you a notice on july 31st to appear and write test on Agugust 26th 2014 at 7:45am (Mississauga)

5. We sent you a notice on August 28th 2014 to appear for oath on September 12th at 1pm ( Mississauga )

Okay so when I did my test I scored 20/20 no one got oath letters on the spot. The immigration office after my interview told me am approved and I will get a call or a letter to appear for my oath in a month ..

I took my oath today til this day I never received the letter in the mail or a call. I checked my ecas last week and seen that my oath is on the 12th of September so I called cic explained to them I never got the letter.they told me it's fine and told me my oath is in Mississauga at 1pm September 12th

When I got to Mississauga to receive my oath today some people were finishing a test and I saw some of them with their oath letters.so by the look of it they received it on the spot .

So I explained to the immigration officer I never received the letter till this day , she told me it's fine she gave me a media release form to sign my name and the date. Today am proud to say am a Canadian citizen.

So my advice to you all is to check your ecas for updates because if I didn't I would definitely miss my oath today !!

First of all Congratulations to you mikejones88 for becoming a proud Canadian.

Your time to provide this input is very much appreciated, since nobody as of yet from Sophie's batch or otherwise has come forward to share what's happening.

Your feedback is of tremendous help.

Have a wonderful weekend and also have a blast.

Thanks and Regards
