I have been waiting oath letter, test was passed in May 2014 in Mississauga office. :'(

Hi Sisaman, Did your wife received the Oath letter ? I took my test this morning but they didnt give me oath letter and told that i should expect my Oath in October.

i wrote the test on sep 4th at 7:45 at mississauga office i received the oath letter today it will be held on october 8 good luck to everyone

there is no updates to my ecase i called the cir and i asked them if they sent me the oath letter they told me no letter sent and it takes 4 month till they send the oath invitation, after 4 days of my call the letter I received the letter.

I had my test at the Mississauga office today at 12:45pm - there were about 60 people writing the test - many of them (including myself) quite nervous! The office was staffed by great people - friendly, diverse team who were genuine and down to earth. It was announced to everyone at the test that they would get an oath appointment if they passed the test and there were no issues. However, they also announced that it is strictly on a case by case basis - some people may be asked for additional info. After the process, I noticed that some people did not get an oath invite. One person said she applied with 1096 days and that she had visits to the USA that was not documented, so she was requested more info.

Don't worry about which time/date you get scheduled - all application needs to follow the due diligence process. I went to the test without setting any expectations. Patience is a virtue! Today was my first time meeting people working at CIC (in my last 12 years of interacting with them: applying for student, work permits, PR, and citizenship). The people at CIC are real, good, genuine and down-to-earth people that are doing the best they can with the huge volume of applicants.

Mississauga is cool. I had a good experience too. My interviewer was very thorough (carefully studying all my documents), but nice and fair. The staff is friendly. The judge at the oath ceremony is cool too... funny guy with a lot of dry humor... cracked a lot of jokes. If you have a solid application and pass the test, it is pretty smooth sailing through Mississauga.

Hi keesio,

Are guests allowed with the applicant for taking pictures inside the hall? Is it possible to take pictures of the applicant during Oath ceremony, receiving certificate etc?

Meaning are the guests in the range, so as that pictures can be taken easily while the applicant is receiving citizenship certificate from the judge or are the guests bit too far?

Guests are allowed. So are photos. My wife took videos of me singing Oh Canada!

Guests have to sit in the seats off to the sides while the applicants sit in the centre rows. It's not that far at all.

They will even tell you the best place for family/friends to stand to take a photo when they call you up to get your certificate. The judge will pose for a photo with you.

For those interested in knowing 7:45am test Oath timeline. I got Oath invitation today for Oct 20th. Feeling relieved.

The Ecas has not yet updated.
