Congratulations for passing the test and DM.
It takes about 2 and half months to have the oath. Some applicants had it right away about a month after the test but that never seen again just one or two applicants of March.

There is some good news in Edmonton just noticed 18 ceremonies in Edmonton during December, let's hope we will be part of any of them.

Good luck.

This isn't real news, but my wife and I (May applicants) took the test on Oct. 27th. My status changed to DM after three days, my wife's changed on Nov. 30th. In the interview the officer said that she wanted to check our histories at the border, but also that it shouldn't slow us down. I think in Edmonton the regular timeline is longer than the time it takes to get information from CBSA. It'll be interesting to see if any of us get quick invitations to one of the many December ceremonies.

Hey nope thanks for sharing new updates with us. I noticed one applicant from April 2015 Edmonton office having his oath on Dec 15, 2015. I think there will be some movement in Edmonton. I wish you best of luck and very quick invitation letter for oath.
Please keep us posted with any news.

Why worry? Listen, you can't be rejected after the test (I think) -- if the Citizenship Officer has doubts, she will issue you an RQ. You didn't get RQ, you got Decision Made. That's an approval. They'll schedule you your oath as soon as they have a chance to get to your file. We'll probably be taking it together . . . My DM was on October 31st.

Thanks nope for Your nice words. I was hoping to go to US with my Canadian passport at Christmas instead of having visa but I think I have to forget about this dream. You are right we most probably will have oath together.
I wish we will get it soon. :D
Thanks again and keep us posted with your latest updates please :)

You know, me too -- that's why I want to pass quickly, so my wife can travel to the States without using her visitor visa (they don't like that, tourists who are married to Americans). If we both have Canadian passports it'll be better, even though I'll be travelling on the American one. Yeah, it is frustrating. You would think the oath would be something that could be done quickly -- instead, waiting for it takes as long as an entire citizenship application in Australia.
