Mathematically speaking , and based on all the trends we so far have, oath dates are being scheduled 6 weeks after the test.
please forget about 35 month timeline . that timeline is no longer exists . CIC is giving test dates as well as oath dates very quickly as bill C-24 aims to reduce the backlogs by 80% by 2015.
for those who took test on February 4 ,5, 6, and 7 , we will see oath letters today ( Siki , Feb 4) , Wed, Thurs, and Friday .
I expect mine ( February 10 ) by next Monday or Tuesday .
I called CIC today , and I was told that my file status is changed to " High/urgent priority "
keep your hopes up .

Siki's good news further affirms the belief that Oath schedules are done based on test date, and not when you applied. So on that note, next 4 weeks will be good news for February test takers !
There's clearly an effort from CIC to hasten the process and we are beginning to see the results faster. I noticed this from a compilation of different timelines (see link below). Take the example of Montreal applications with exams taken before 2013 and compare those right after the new year (2014).
The gap between exam date and oath date just before 2013 ranges from 9-16 weeks. After the new year that gap has narrowed to about 6 weeks on average.

Also note that the timeline for processing quoted in the CIC website is indicative of how much a given batch of applications are processed so that 80% of those reach decision stage. So 24 months for routine cases means, it takes them that long to process all of the 80 out of 100 cases they received at one time. And 36 months quoted for non-routine cases.
CIC is also indicating a breakdown of the present "ages" of applications they are currently processing:

From the most recent citizenship grant inventory, according to CIC:
46% of the current applications are only up to 12 months old
20% are 13-18 months old
12% are 19-24 months old, while
22% are 25+ months old
So cases that goes beyond 2 years of processing are in fact a smaller fraction of the bulk of applications.
