Congratulations to everyone who got their oath letter.

Hello guys. Here is my timeline:

1.We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on January 27, 2012.

2.We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on January 27, 2012. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

3.We started processing your application on September 27, 2012.

(Pre-test RQ received September 2012, mailed it back October 2012.)

4.We sent you a notice on January 15, 2014 to appear and write the citizenship test on January 30, 2014 at 1:00 PM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.

Passed test, 19/20 at St. Claire. Interview went well. I was asked a few questions about my employment. Arrived in Canada January 2009. Applied for citizenship a few days after my 3rd year. That's probably what triggered my RQ. I didn't leave the country at all for my first four years, so there shouldn't be any problem. The immigration officer also checked my passport to verify. He said everything looked good. Just wait for oath.

Still waiting for oath letter though! It's been more than a month since I passed the test. I hope I get it this week!

Did you call CIC?

I called last Friday, March 7. I was just told there was no problem with my file but there was no update yet regarding my oath. :(

Call them today. You might have a date now in your file.

Called cic again today and the answer was. "Your file was "approved and granted" . It was sent to the scarborough office last week on thursday. They havent scheduled you up to know and we cant tell you exactly when will be the date for ceremony" .
A big relief. atleast, now i know there is nothing in between.
