Hi Penpoint,

I have called them several times, and like everyone's experience the response is different everytime. Anyhow, there was just once that a call centre agent picked up the phone and soon after I told her my details, looked in the system for a few minutes and started by saying that the case is approved and we should wait for ceremony-which could be any time within 6 months from the date it was approved (not from the date I tested).

So I am assuming the approval remarks are in the file, just that some agents may go deep thru the pages and pages of info while many other may not.

To my shock, the most recent call, the agent said that the RQ still needs to be reviewed. so again comes to the point as to whom to believe v/s whom not to. And I choose not to believe the agent then.

I would leave myself in more of peace of mind by trusting the ATIP cause that is the only thing that does not change everytime I look at it )) The same piece of paper, the same info..

I am getting to a point to figure out that there are more important things in life to take care of. Citizenship is just a matter of when it will happen. If my assumption is correct, then I should get it within 2-3 months. Have waited for 24 months already, can surely wait for 2 more months.

Gotta move on!

My friend and his wife just got a letter to do their OATH on May 9th. They both had an RQ on March 2013 and went for an interview at St. Clair on March 13, 2014 to review their files.

Any new news from CIC regarding receiving the oath letters from St. Clair office ? :

CIC Scarborough office has a series of oath ceremonies from May 2 to May 21st.
I don't know February test taker are in these schedule.

Hi Guys,

I am new to the forum, but have been reading this for a while. i want to thank all of you guys for the support you provided me, but i guess i am going to need more support now.

I am a family applicant with my wife. Wife was RQ'd back in Oct 2013. i did not get an RQ

I took my test back on Feb 12, passed my test, Was hoping to receive my oath letter soon. Yesterday i got a mail from CIC, when I opened it, it was a fingerprint request.
Anybody else had this happen to them? How long will it take now?

They have till Sept 2014 till 36 months are complete, but this is really a stupid process.

ATIP requested on April 8th.. Still waiting

My Timeline is as follows

Application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on September 6, 2011.

Started processing your application on January 25, 2012.

Wife (Joint applicant) received RQ in October 2012. RQ Submitted thereafter.

Notice on January 22, 2014 to appear and write the citizenship test on February 12, 2014 at 8:30 AM.

Both (Me and Wife) Passed Test on Feb 12

Was waiting for Oath

Request for Fingerprint April 30 2014

Submitted Fingerprints April 30 2014

Still Waiting for Oath......!!!!

I don't think so, because from Scarborough topic all people already resived a letters until May 21. Next people may resive somthing only after this date.
