Oath Timeline after test at St. Clair Office

CIC's work style seems to be secretive, strange and just unpredictable. Some candidates waiting close to 4 years even after submitting the requested documents multiple times. They are yet to see any progress in their cases on pretext that each case is different.

Under such circumstances and guidelines, individuals may make their own informed decisions.

I agree with what you've just said. However, there is no way CIC give priority to applicants who applied more than once just because they paid more money. If that would be true, tomorrow I send 3 applications on the same time and my oath should be taking place in 1 month.

If it says decision : Granted, it means your citizenship has been approved. Its very likely that your file is just awaiting to be schedule for the Oath ceremony.

You may go to your MP's office, let their staff call the CIC and get you details immediately.

Readers from this forum and other advised, in most cases if you have strong ties to country such shortage will be accepted. More ever, having waited for so long, it was not worth to re-apply and wait for years.

Strange .... up to I understand the days you have to have resided in Canada it's something objective, you have them or not (except if you worked abroad for a Canadian compan, etc.....).

My MP has advised me CIC St. Clair has over 100,000 RQ applications and their staff is augumented to sort those out. I do belive reviewing RQ throughly is a tough job esp I sent about 2KGs of my hitoric crap via Canada Post . So I don't think St. Clair can get to all our RQ anytime soon until 2016.

yah it says judge decision approved . but it says ceremony not started . judge hearing not started . i dont know i go with judge interviw or waiting for ceremony

You are waiting for Oath ceremony. You have CJ decision. That's it. Your file approved. You don't need any interview.

Agreed, as per requirement applicants must have 1095 days of physical presence in the country. However, there is provision in the citizenship rules, any shortage in residency applicants are referred for Hearing with Citizenship judge for deciding.

There are certain guidelines for Citizenship judges, determine intend of applicant to live in the country or not, length of stay, strong ties to the country such as own property, renting house, paying taxes, utilities, pattern of absence etc....for judge to evaluate cases on individual merit and then decide either to grant or refuse.

RQ septnber 2013.
Passed test march2014.
Call cic many time somtimes good news simtimes bad news . I dont know when will be recevied interviw or oath ?

that my file transfer from St.Clair to Scarborough office and waiting for RCMP

clearance before next step... any idea what does it mean ??? how long it will

take from here ? 40 months ago since I apply...

My guess is that it is a positive development . Probably St Clair has finalized reviewing your RQ and now your file is forwarded to Scarborough for the oath. Hopefully you will hear some good new soon.
