Oath Timeline after test at St. Clair Office

Today I got confirmation on cic.gc.ca website.

We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on August 24, 2012.

We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on August 24, 2012. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

We started processing your application on January 31, 2013.

We sent you a notice on January 20, 2014 to appear and write the citizenship test on February 5, 2014 at 1:00 PM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.

For mine they told me they have until March 2016 to work on my file....

what an a**. The agent told me that he can see my score and that my file is in Scarborough now. Don't call us for oath before July 2015.

this is weird. per CIC's standard operating procedures, after the test a local office has 6 months to send you oath invite. When I called CIC for my Oath ( I did test in Scarborough) they said to me that all offices must invite for Oath within 6 months, if they do not, CIC call center will follow up.

Siki, I wouldn't sweat it out, the fact that your file is now in Scarborough means, in my opinion, that it left the judge's office of St. Clair and its all approved - just waiting to be scheduled. If it wasn't approved it would have stayed at St. Clair for Judge's hearing.
The 2015 timeline is the maximum time based on historical records.... you will be getting your date soon.

I think that's for routine process but for the people like us(non-routine process) it can take upto 35months.

Thank you dossip.I just felt he was really mean to me, that just pissed me off. I m just worried coz My exams are in April and I would prefer to get it in march if not then after April. I hope we all get something soon

BTW: Siki, the officer at the interview told me that they will notify me within the next 6 months. I am guessing that they are speeding the process and that everybody will know something within 6 months from the test date. It just depends on the application as everybody's case is different-it will be an invitation for the oath or an invitation for CJ interview...but, at least, this time we will know in 6 months

Siki u and I have identical timelines aside from my test being Jan 30 and oath next week. Just hang in there - now that things are moving faster than before we are all becoming hasty. If it's in Scarborough then all they are doing is scheduling your oath date - so yours might be coming anytime this week. Don't forget my oath letter was sent on 6th march and I received it on 7th (last Friday) so start deciding wise coming to your oath ceremony and where you'll be having the post party!!!

Called CIC this morning, nothing has moved since my test on Feb 12th. Hoping to something next week.
