Hello,I have more than 1095 minimum days when I applied for the citizenship, but

I received my ATIP request and it has a paragraph which says:

Foss clearance Expiry:date 2015/02

Rcmp clearance Expiry:date 2015/08/05

I don' t know why I didn't receive the oath lette?
Pass text date:13 Feb
That's strange, if you've required minimum 1095 days presence it should NOT take long. As far the FOSS, RCMP clearance are cleared up 2015. CIC's illogical processes, lack of progress causes lot of backlog, chaotic situation for all & sheer nightmares for candidates.

It has been 6 months now!

Hi all,
This is my first time in this forum that I find very learning, rich and helpful.

I applied for citizenship on: October 2012
Started processing: February 2013
Received RQ by mistake: July 2013
Answered RQ: August 2013
Test: January 9, 2014
Since then I am still waiting for my oath letter. It has been 6 months exactly now!
My local office is Ottawa. But according to call centre agent my file is being processed by St-Clair office!

I ordered the ATIP last month and everything looked normal to me, like no judge hearing is required and all my clearances are marked passed. Even in one of the pages it says that they sent me RQ by mistake as they were not supposed to!

I called the call centre today and they said taht I jsut have to wait, no explanation WHY?

Thoughts?

Well said Canadiandesi!!
Thanks Nyork : Yes, there are quite a few things which seems totally illogical. CIC immediate reject and return candidate's application if he/she pay even $10 less than the required fee.

However CIC dont reject and return applications, when a candidate fail to meet required minimum days 1095. Why they drag it for over 3 years for Only the Honorable judge to decide the fate. Is'nt a unnecessary burden on CIC system, slow things and wasting everyone's time.

These are very basic and logical things, it does'nt need a rocket scientist to improve the CIC workflow. Unless they are wantonly continue this mess for unknown reasons to general public, delaying people from becoming Citizens and to prevent them from taking Federal jobs....

CIC does not immediately reject the applications with fewer days than required, 1095 days, because of the applicants who serve for Canada in foreign mission, who usually get approval from CIC but this situation is only approved by an Honorable Judge. Please, follow the application kit, received or downloaded to apply for citizenship.

Congratulations!!
I think you have shown enough evidence showing you will be in this country for a long term. The applicant who are still waiting for oath letters but wrote the test more than 6 months ago should consider what they can do to prove they will not leave this country soon after receiving the passport.
Canadian passport is no longer for the visitors, as far as experts say.
