I read other forum like immigrer.com, erableatlas.ca and settlement.org. Yes these people are for most of them, from montreal. I called on monday and the guy told me that they weren't anything new on my file, and that I could wait up to 6 months, when I called this afternoon, the lady didn't invite me by phone she just told me that a letter has been send for the oath and then she informed me about the day and the hour the ceremony will take place, she didn't say anything about the adress. I'm nopt here to give people false hopes, I truly believe that not everyboby has received their invitations for june ceremonies. I've been checking the ceremonies on CIC website for weeks and it seems like they are adding more and more ceremonies for June in Montreal. yet there is 21 ceremonies scheduled and up to 5 ceremonies in one day. That's a lot of ceremonies, and I don't read that muche people have already received their oath letter from the forums i'm always visiting. I really think they can send the letter a mi,imum of 2 weeks before the oath date, based on what I've read so far. 21 ceremonies that make AT LEAST 7000 new canadians in one month, in one city!

Thank you so much Bibouna,
I agree with you, I also knew only two ppl how got invitation for June and you are the third one, I'm sure we will see more invited ppl in next week :D

Do the agents can lie to us?

I called today and the agent told me that my file was approved by the Judge and I have just to wait, because they don't know about the delays. Then I asked again if my file is complet and is aproved by the Judge and she said "yes, you just have to wait".

I decided to call because last week another agent told him that despite is a family application, the agent only can see his and our kids file. To see what's happening about my file, I should call.

But, my husbad called several times and they've already said that his file is approved by the Judge, and also said that they have to renew our antecedents, but it was more than a month ago.

And now we have more than 3 months after test and no oath date yet. (after 32 months of application and RQ more than one year ago) :(

I had the same question after my first call to CIC, but why they should lie? They can only lie about they don't see any more details but not about the facts, So I think you are in wait list for oath, I am also waiting since April 10th, almost 2months.
I hope everybody will get the letter for oath very sooooon :)

I called CIC today and the agent said that he can see my test result but nothing on whether it is approved by judge. :(

I just called, the agent was not reassuring at all, rather she repeated that it make take up to 36 months, actually she emphasized that she was surprised to see it had taken such a short time for me to have the test, seemingly they have to verify my RQ, even though the ATIP says that "in QR n'est plus necessaire mais la residence sera evaluée lors de l'entrevue par un agent de niveau 2"

Basically what the CIC agent tells on the phone is crap, I wonder if they even bother to look at the electronic file or simply they sputter stuff from the top of their heads

If you look at page 6 on this thread, springtime posted

"I suggest you to try calling cic the way "daktrader" recommended. Here is the link you can read his post:

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/scarborough-office-citizenship-oath-t174274.420.html#lastPost

I m going to call them tomorrow and ask those two questions. "

Good luck"

I did ask the same question and it actually made him to look in to my file instead of saying just general information about how long it will take.

Even during the weekend?!! Haha. You're taking this to a whole new level. We don't have postal services during the weekends. I use sat & sun as a reset point to my anxiousness. When did you take your test?

I know the post doesn't work during the weekends, I check if by mistake my mail delivered to a neighbor and they found out and returned it to me, or God knows why, I am going to be crazy as I said >:(

My test was April 10th @ Montreal.

springtime, why are you going crazy? Are you worried about getting a RQ (God forbid)? Does your job requires a lot of travelling? What I am trying to get to is what will getting the citizenship right now help you in?

I am anxious as well. But I don't mind getting the oath now or in 2 months. And BTW, I am leaving QC and heading to AB by the end of this month. So not stressed about the situation.

I had my test today and I had interview after...They told me that you need to wait for judge approve your file.

I'm moving to BC from QC by the end of June, look likes everybody is moving from QC. :) I don't want to come back for oath here, I don't have anybody to take care of my mails here, and I want to go visit my family after many yearsss, I was waiting for immigration very long time, so I just want this ends faster so tired and more .... :'( :)

Oh I see. What's the reason for the move if you don't mind me asking? Do you have a job waiting for you in BC? I am moving because of my career. QC is very limited in the industry I want to progress in. I anticipate my oath to be scheduled in July (that of course of no RQ is issued). It will be costly since I will have to spend about $700 to go back to Montreal for the oath. On top of that, my family wont be with me :(. But well, what can I do?! Live life as is 8)
