Hi all,

I have finally received my invitation, a few things I'd like to share for anyone having a hard time waiting for the invite:
  • The timing is alright - 7 days before the schedule date, despite the tracker updated a month ago.
  • The invitation was sent to a different email address that I actually never associated with my citizenship application. The only time I used it is when I e-mailed the IRCC officer (Winnipeg) who interviewed me. The main email address didn't receive anything.
  • The invitation was sent from IRCC.DNMBSKCITCEREMONIES-CEREMONIESCITMBSKRN.IRCC1@cic.gc.ca
    • The name of the email address is DN MB SK CIT Ceremonies / Ceremonies CIT MB SK RN (IRCC)
    • Its subject is "invite to ceremony": no capital letters, no identification at all...
    • Its attachment is a PDF file named as my full name, and again, no capital letters, no case #, just my name in lower cases.
    • The email reads: "Hello, here is your invite to the ceremony, Thanks,"
  • It is a video oath ceremony timed in Manitoba, whereas I never associated my residence with Manitoba (I reside in Vancouver BC).
    • The test invitation was sent from the Vancouver office.
    • The interview invitation was sent from the Winnipeg office.
    • The IRCC officer told me during my interview that the notice to appear for the oath will be sent from the Ottawa office, who is in charge of all oaths.
Thus please check all mailboxes and addresses you have, and don't ignore any emails just because it looks like spam :)
Good luck everyone!

Congratulations on receiving the oath invite.
I would advise that you call IRCC to verify, don’t let your anxiety rule over your security. There are so many flags in your story that should not be ignored. First flag, Normally IRCC would communicate to the email they have on file, if you don’t recall changing it at any stage of the process, they it worths to verify with IRCC on the call.
Second, the oath email subject normally comes with both English and French version of the same message along with the application number.
The body of the email is descriptive and comes in both English and French.

Then comes the PDF attachment with your full name which is not normal, all pdf attachments from IRCC have the application number as the file name.

This is from my experience with IRCC. Procedures and communications might vary from one IRCC office to another, however, it won’t harm to verify and stay secure.

The email thing? Maybe they changed in the system when you last spoke to them?

Also it's normal to receive oath invites from other offices. My oath invite is also from the same office even though I reside in Vancouver BC. I have to join at 7 am

The officer must have changed your email address as its the last email you used to contact them.

All normal, they can schedule or email from any office. They move around files based on the caseload of offices.
