No, the oath invitation does not mention any.Is there any dress code for oath ceremony?
Or its open to personal choice?
Thanks

You're right, common sense doesn't exist as people make unwanted comment on someone else's post!
I've been to three ceremonies and I did see people in shorts, jeans, sandals, hoodies, etc. I guess those people view getting Canadian citizenship as just a bureaucratic exercise, similar to renewing one's driver's licence. At the other end of the spectrum, I've never seen anyone in "formal" attire, which suggests a tuxedo for men, ball gown for women. Most people are somewhere in between. No, the oath invitation does not mention any.
Of the 20 people who too oath, this is what I observed, just rough figures:
I did not see any in a casual attire like Ts/Shorts/ and such
- About 5, fully formal(Suit/Tie/Even flowers)
- About 5, Semi-formal(I was in a semi formal attire)
- About 5, smart/business casuals
- About 5, traditional attire from their home countries
