Oath ceremony while PR card renewal in process

I got Decision made for my PR card renewal on jan 18th then Decision Made for my citizenship on Jan 26th. My oath ceremony will be on Feb 24th. My question is: what happen if i dont received my new card by then? Can i only cut my old Card. Anybody had been in this situation?

Nothing happens, you'll just cut the card you have and notify IRCC to forget about that other application.

During or let's say before the ceremony the clerk will verify the PR Number you have in possession with the latest PR Number in their system. So in case there is a new PR Card issued, and already in the system of IRCC and not have reached you in time, then: The clerk will advise you and send you the appropriate Solemn Declaration form which you need to fill out and return after the ceremony.
