Hi everyone,

Services partially or fully disrupted
In the event of a labour disruption, like most Government of Canada services, most IRCC services would be impacted. You should expect delays with:

  • processing applications
  • in-person appointments or events including citizenship ceremonies
  • contacting IRCC via email, phone or social media
  • consular citizenship and passport services
  • passport services in Canada

Is your Oath in-person or Virtual?

Got this reply now from office

Hello,

At this time, we cannot provide you an update that there will be a strike. We will communicate with you via email if the Ceremony will be cancelled due to the strike

I have oath ceremony at 10:30 MST. I think virtual ceremony via Zoom will be fine. However, certificate might be delay because of the strike.

As u mentioned it. It will impact in-person things. not virtual. They already posted it CIC website.

Please share updates. I have oath on May 2, 2023. Looks like all those who have been invited before today will get their oath done. Further oath invites have been halted. Thats what I think
