Hello,

I was just wandering, do we need to take a new citizenship photo with us during the oath day for the citizenship certificate or are they going to use the old photo that we had sent them along with the application.

I have heard that they give us the citizenship certificate on the oath day so wanted to know if I need to take new photos or Are they going to make the certificate ready with the old ones.

Thankyour.

You don't need new photos.

Besides, the citizenship certificate doesn't have any photo.

They put the certificate in a plastic holder together with one of the old citizenship photos that you originally sent in the application. But that photo is not stuck to the certificate.

Thanks for replying,

So do I take the same certificate while applying for the passport as well.

For the passport, you take the certificate and (at least) a picture ID, so that they will know it's you.

So we can use this photo to apply for passport or we should make new ones?

No, you can't. Citizenship photos have different specifications than Passport photos.

Besides, you need two identical photos for the passport, they have to be less than 1 year old, etc...
