Nowadays, how long does it take from doing the Canadian citizenship test to the virtual oath and ceremony?

It really depends on which office your application is being processed and what other items left to clear up on your file.

There were reports tests were made available for applicants that might have not completed their background checks yet.

I did the citizenship test online this month (June 2021) and passed. Some people say the ceremony letter will be send from 2-3 weeks informing the date and time of the virtual oath and ceremony, which most probably will be held virtually 1-2 weeks from the letter. Is that true? The office I think Mississauga.

I don't think so. Waiting time from test -> Oath has been long from what I've seen so far. Expect a 3 - 5 month wait to avoid disappointment.

However, if you get it earlier, then that's good. Please keep me posted when you receive your oath invitation.

Thanks.

Do you think sending to IRCC a request for urgent processing would be helpful (Asking for a close date for the ceremony) Through Case Specific Enquiry form? I was thinking of retaining an immigration lawyer to submit it on my behalf?

I had mine mid May this year as I had the knowledge test mid April. About two months period without any interview or request to submit additional documents.

So. nearly 60 days between doing the citizenship and the ceremony, right? What happened in between, and when?

I also know a couple who had their knowledge test towards the end of April and had the oath sometime this week.
When will IRCC send the letter informing the applicant when his oath ceremony? It it from 2-3 weeks from the test? or 1-2 weeks before the ceremony?
