I think Nocs 1112 and Noc 2174 are the hottt NOCS that will fill up quickly. NOC 1112 possibly in the first 2 days...its possible and Noc 1174 definitely in the first week.

The NOC code that in my opinion is most likely to not reach its cap is:

2113 Geoscientists and oceanographers

Any one knows IELTS points for
Exp: 4+
Edu:B.TECH (Computer Sci)

in MI1 case It was :L-7.5,R-6.5,W-6.5,S-6.5

How much for 2013 applicants ..!

RANEESH....use this post from Canadiana to calculate your IELTS scores:

* Language proficiency [up to 24 points for first language and up to 4 points for the second official language]
- CIC proposes "(1) requiring minimum language abilities in order to qualify for the program; and (2) significantly increasing the maximum points awarded for fluency in one official language from 16 points to 24 points."
- "The number of points for the second official language would be reduced from 8 points to 4 points"
- Eligibility and points:
* First official language
° Minimum threshold in all abilities initially set at CLB/NCLC 7 - this would also grant 4 points per ability
° CLB/NCLC 8: 5 points per ability
° CLB/NCLC 9: 6 points per ability
* Second official language
° Maximum of 4 points awarded for at least CLB/NCLC 5 in all abilities

Given the number of questions on calculating language points, I put together the following tables. Just look up your IELTS band for each section and add up the FSWC points.

Listening
IELTS CLB FSWC POINTS
6.0 or less <=6 Not eligible for FSWC
6.5 7 4 points
7.0 7 4 points
7.5+ 8+ 5 or 6 points (depending on where cut-off is defined for CLB 8 vs CLB 9 equivalency,
IELTS 7.5 is 5pts and IELTS band(s) approaching 9.0 would be 6pts)

Reading
IELTS CLB FSWC POINTS
5.0 or less <=6 Not eligible for FSWC
5.5 6 or 7 May get 4 points
6.0 7 4 points
6.5+ 8+ 5 or 6 points (depending on where cut-off is defined for CLB 8 vs CLB 9 equivalency,
IELTS 6.5 is 5pts and IELTS band(s) approaching 9.0 would be 6pts)

Writing
IELTS CLB FSWC POINTS
5.5 or less <=6 Not eligible for FSWC
6.0 7 4 points
6.5+ 8+ 5 or 6 points (depending on where cut-off is defined for CLB 8 vs CLB 9 equivalency,
IELTS 6.5 is 5pts and IELTS band(s) approaching 9.0 would be 6pts)

Speaking
IELTS CLB FSWC POINTS
5.5 or less <=6 Not eligible for FSWC
6.0 7 4 points
6.5+ 8+ 5 or 6 points (depending on where cut-off is defined for CLB 8 vs CLB 9 equivalency,
IELTS 6.5 is 5pts and IELTS band(s) approaching 9.0 would be 6pts)

The FSWC points assume they continue using IELTS and that the 'equivalencies' stay similar based on:

In the proposed FSWC plan:
CLB/NCLC 7: 4 points per ability
CLB/NCLC 8: 5 points per ability
CLB/NCLC 9: 6 points per ability

and that previously (per OP-6):
Basic was given by CLB/NCLC 4 or 5 gave 1 point per ability up to 2 points max
For IELTS test results received on or after November 28, 2008, that was equivalent to:
Listening Reading Writing Speaking
4.5 - 5.0 3.5 - 4.5 4.0 - 5.0 4.0 - 5.0

Moderate was approx. CLB/NCLC 6 or 7 and gave 2 pts per ability
Listening Reading Writing Speaking
5.5 - 7.0 5.0 - 6.0 5.5 - 6.0 5.5 - 6.0

High was CLB/NCLC 8 +
Listening Reading Writing Speaking
7.5 - 9.0 6.5 - 9.0 6.5 - 9.0 6.5 - 9.0
Approx. CLB/NCLC 6 or 7

The Nocs that seem to not have a fair amount of applicants but may still take a few weeks up to a month to fill from my observations are:

0211
2147
3142

Any thoughts on the matter fellow applicants? Whats your NOC? Who has gone to ICAS for Assessment?

Seems ECA is taking much much longer than we all expected.......Maybe Noc 1112 wont be filled until after a week.....

i think 0211 should be moved to the first list.

0211 should definitely be moved up the list......so many engineering managers are waiting to apply...they all have to do ECA first so maybe it will take 2-3 weeks to fill.

Dear All,

I wonder..What is the basis for estimation?
This can be based on some records of time-wise score of matching/related NOC, then this can be of any value.

Anyway, lets keep it up!

Hi Canera,

I am making my estimations based on information on the times it took for the recent Noc of the past few years to fill as well as the actual cap and the number of persons I speak with in forums and the specific Noc codes they are applying under.

So its just a personal estimation.

Now I can understand WES not answering phone calls BUT they could at least answer peoples. The are going to be making sooooooooooo much money from this they could have hired 4 part time persons whose only job is to respond to applicants emails. THATs good customer service. We are paying customers after all, we are not begging!
