Hi,
My file was transferred from Buffalo to NYC for expediting on 14th April 2009. Does anyone know the timelines for NYC or is it the same as Buffalo?

I was expecting some of the expert members tell me that.... :) However it will be 90 days on the 13th of July and I haven't received any information from NYC. They dont even respond to emails so I am not sure what is happening with my application. However, I have seen cases in trackitt.com where NYC responds quickly.

I am an Indian Citizen and living in the US for the past 3.5 yrs and my wife is my sponsor who is a canadian citizen. I think I sent a "good application" but the application should be good enough for NYC. Atleast NYC should communicate if something is missing.

Hey Newbie,

Thanks for that. So, have you checked E-CAs and see what it says. My application has been in New York two weeks now and 5 days after they got our application they send most of our evidence back to us...such as photos, emails, cards etc etc...we are of course concerned....however at least we know they looked at our application shortly after it got there.....

How long have you been married? What is the background information for your case? Is she in Canada or USA with you? Do you hold a green card in the US?

Take care- hope to hear back

Well my application is in NYC for 90 days now and I have sent them an email today asking a status. My wife is Canadian and I am in the US on H1. I got married in Dec 2007 and my wife was with me in the US until March 2009 when we decided to apply for PR. Atleast in your case NYC communicated in some way... :) In my case I don't know if they have looked at it... :(

There was interesting case in trackitt.com where NYC did not communicate with an applicant for 90 days and after 90 days when the applicant sent an email, he was told his medical reports was not received even though the reports were available in the system and this is what is worrying me.

This whole thing is making me crazy....never was I so eager to check my mails or go home to check my mails....and also the pain of living away from my wife for so long :(

Hey Newbie,

I do feel for you. I know how hard it is and really I think the next thing you should do is send them a fax and just label the top as Urgent.

I do remember reading that post on trackit.com as well and I have been scared as well. So far my application has only been there two weeks, so I have nothing to worry....yet.

If I were you I would just send them a fax with all your information...I'm sure they get many more emails than faxes and they will be more likely to assist you with the fax.
GOOD LUCK
