I visited NYC Consulate General India for PCC (Police Clearance Certificate) and I want to share my experience.
First required Documents
- Application form here
- Passport Original
- Passport first, last page copies including Visa copy
- Passport size photograph (Optional I didn't provided)
- Enter into consulate entry is from left side of the main door. Room is underground
- Get token and wait for your turn (reach as early as possible because there will be a long line)
- Once they announce your token number go to window and hand them all the documents from above list
- Pay your feed in cash (if passport issued in NY $27 or pay $42)
- They will ask you to come back at 12 O'clock and pick your PCC even your passport is not issued by NY Consulate
- Go at 12 O'clock and stand at counter 5 someone will come and hand you over your PCC (Keep copy of the payment with you)
- Keep all the documents ready for faster process. I have seen people taking 15-20 mins for handing over documents from their 4-5 files.
- People at Consulate are very patient and good. They are always trying to do process as soon as possible but people are coming without preparation which takes time. So, please be prepared with all the documents.
