Hi community members,

I was nominated under NSNP and have been living in Halifax for over 7 months now, tried my level best to look out for a job and applied for more than 150+ jobs and finally reached out to NS immigration to help and below is their reply. I have sent them all the proofs including my emails for the jobs I have applied. They have stated that I am free to leave the province if I have a PR card which I have and have told me to double-check with the IRCC, should I confirm it with them or mail from the NS immigration is good enough.

Best,

"Thank you for taking the time to email our office. I appreciate your efforts in trying to establish yourself in Nova Scotia

To assist you with finding employment, you may want to review this list of registered recruiters in Nova Scotia (https://novascotia.ca/lae/employmentrights/fw/licensedrecruiters.asp) and determine if they may be able to connect you with employers.

Nova Scotia Works (https://novascotia.ca/works/) is also tasked to connect potential employers with employees.

In terms of relocating to other provinces, if you have your PR card(s), you are free to move to another province without any involvement from our office. You should, however, double-check with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) through this link: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/contact-ircc.html"

I won't bother checking with IRCC if I were you, I would not even bother checking with the province in the first place.

It is this kind of questions to the province/IRCC that makes them change the law eventually, to prevent you from moving province under any circumstances. Your asking these questions is not being nice it will just cause problem for you or others in the future.

There are some things best left unsaid. Your PR entitles you to right of mobility in Canada, no need asking the same question over and over again.

Thank you for your answer Dejavus, really appreciate it and I don't think my question will change the mobility rights, morever I will have a moral obligation and just don't want to leave the province without notifying which most of the lawyers have told me to do, however I will not notify the IRCC.

Thank you again.

You said several lawyers advised you to notify IRCC, why would you bother to ask here again since you have clearly made up your mind to do so.

Never say never, mobility rights can be changed for PR earned through PNP if the government decides it wants to make that change.
