Hi everybody, im writing here to share my story with immigration to throw some weight that is on my chest, we applied in 18 august 2015, they asked me for new police check and interview in march, the asked to redo medical exams in 20 june my ecas showed decision made in 28 june then showed they send me corespendence in 6th of july, but we didn't get anything so we send them inquiries three time, once they said that it was mistake and that our application still in process, then in august 5th send us email saying that they are ready to issue permenant resident visa and to send them passport and pictures and letter stating my height and the color of my eyes so i did send them all these via vac, then in 7th august i checked my ecas i saw that it went back to in process so asked about it here they said to not worry about it, and i told my representative so he send them inquiry , today we recived email saying that the email they send to us in 5 th august was mistake and to not send my passport and it may be another interview and we will get instructions in the coming days, so now me and my wife we are waiting for a year knowing that normal proccessing time for my country is 8 months, we still in shcok my wife is dpressed and crying and me im in my country im feeling powerless and feeling as if my couple life and our future is game on the hands immigration canada that is not fair at all

the email recieved on 5th august 2016

Dear Madam/Sir,

We are ready to issue the permanent resident visa that entitles you to enter Canada. The following information is required to complete your application.

If you do not respond within 30 days from the date of this letter (or before the expiry date of the visas, whichever comes first), your file will be closed.

STEP 1: STATUS CHANGE (If none of these conditions applies to you, you may proceed to STEP 2)
Has your family composition changed since our last correspondence?

Have you gotten married or divorced?
Have you given birth or adopted a child?
Do you intend to get married or divorced prior to becoming a permanent resident?
Do you intend to give birth or adopt a child prior to becoming a permanent resident?

If any of these conditions apply, you must inform the Paris office at: paris-immigration@international.gc.ca

You will be asked to submit evidence such as a copy of the marriage, divorce, birth or adoption certificate or a letter advising when and where the marriage, divorce, birth or adoption is expected to take place. Any new spouse and/or children must be added to your application and be found admissible to Canada before your case can be finalized. Failure to declare additional dependants such as a spouse or children before you become a permanent resident could result in the cancellation of your permanent resident visa and/or prevent you from sponsoring your dependants in the future. Once your file is closed, you would be required to submit a new application and pay new processing fees. Any new application would be assessed under the Act and Regulations in force at the time of its submission.

STEP 2: PASSPORT(S) REQUEST

We require a VALID passport for you and for each accompanying family member. Passports for you and all accompanying family members must be submitted together. There must be at least two blank visa pages in each passport. If there are children included in your passport there must be a blank visa page for each of them.
Please note that permanent resident visas cannot be issued to holders of Diplomatic, Official or Military passports. You must obtain a regular passport.



IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS


Please select only one option to send your passport(s). The options depend on your country of residence:

- Options 1 or 2: European residents

- Options 3 or 4: residents of Algeria

- Option 5: residents of Tunisia
- Option 6: residents of Canada
- Option 7: residents of Libya

For all options, please send the following documents:


1. Page 1 of this document.

2. The original passport(s), or a photocopy of the passport(s) if you are from a visa exempt country. To find out if you are from a visa exempt country, please consult the following website: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/visas.asp

3. 2 photos. For photo specifications, please consult the following website: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/pdf/5445EB-e.pdf

This is indeed very sad to hear and very scary too considering they have already interviewed you and one has to wonder why they need a second interview??..they couldn't clarify all there questions in one meeting??. This truly bad on the part of CIC , especially with family immigration. They should be more considerate. :'( :'(

Looks like it might be either a security interview or to review admissibility, as per this topic in 2010. Maybe if you address their concerns right away you can waive the interview as it has been waived before for other applicants (if they did it for the first interview they might do it for the second interview)

I meant for the applicants in general, some have sent in additional proof of relationship and got their interview waived.

I believe if you send in any additional explanation, as to what is causing them to want to interview you a second time, they might waive the second one for you.

First off, I'm so sorry this is happening to you.

1. You should engage and involve your local MP immediately.

2. You should order your GCMS notes immediately.

I agree with ImABule. Order the GCMS notes. It should take about 31 days. That way you know what their issue is, if there is an issue.

Also ask you MP for assistance.

i already had gcms note of the first interview and it was positive.

You need to order new ones to see what's going on now and why they want a second interview.
