Re: Application for VISA under general category
Respected Sir/Madam,
With due respect, I am herewith submitting all essential documents for applying for the Canadian study permit visa under the general category. I had previously submitted my application on XXXXXXXXXXX at the VFS Office, Nehru Place, New Delhi. My file number was XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX. My application was refused and communicated to me via a letter dated 9 July 2012. I am now writing to request you to re-consider my visa application, which has been rejected on grounds that my previous education is not reasonable with the program I have chosen to study at Conestoga College.
As you will find from the attached certificates, I was doing Bachelors in Digital Animation and Visual Effects in Filmmaking (3-year degree course) at Reliance Big Aims Academy, Delhi. After I completed my 1st year, in which I procured the basic knowledge about television broadcasting, just out of curiosity, I compared the techniques and methods that I had learned to the actual working in the studios here in India to be sure that the money, time and energy which I spent was worth it. However, I came to know that the methods and techniques that I had learned are obsolete to get into a good Indian production house. Moreover, I was not getting practical demonstrations and apt theoretical knowledge as required.
While talking to overseas students, I found that the skills I had acquired at Reliance Big Aims were not adequate to meet the requirement for advance Television-broadcasting. Thereafter, I spoke to people in the Broadcast/Television industry as well as researched on the internet and was stunned to know that advance specialization in television-broadcasting at Indian institutions does not exist. As I want to study at an institution, which gives me advance knowledge and exposure to international methods, I looked at websites and did comparisons of many reputed colleges and after my research; I found that the intensive two-year curriculum at Conestoga College suited perfectly to my needs.
Conestoga College is highly acknowledged by all the broadcasting offices in India as well. I am confident that I would get the best education from world-class faculty at Conestoga. This program has a versatile course curriculum as it covers most of the aspects of film/television broadcasting industry. Upon completion of the program, I will return to India as many big and reputed production companies like Yash Raj Productions, Red Chillies Entertainment, UTV Motion Pictures and EROS International look for technically sound employees because India has one the world's biggest Cinema industry.
I would humbly request you to grant me the permission to study in Canada and acquire expertise to fulfill my ambitions.
