i contacted MP twice, they kept saying security check is the only thing left. and they have not even started that yet. just really worried. what is taking longer. and I emailed cic. they replied back that file is in que for an review by officer.
any idea what review they are working on?

You have to wait now as this was all you could do.contacting MP Is the last final step so this is the last process its not going to take much time if all goes well as its the final bcg check. They just check your job and if anythng new has popped up. due to backlogs its getting delayed for them to start on urs. Trust me im on the same boat as you.

Hi friend, I am in the same situation as yours, each time I call cic, they told me it is waiting for review by an officer, and it is just the matter of time. So I take it is all about the matter of time and keep waiting.
I learned one saying recently, I think it is good, it is said " if you are going through hell, keep going. "
I think, I will keep waiting in my case.
Do you know what kind of "review" on your case? I am Jan 2016 application, CIC told me my application was in the final stages of review prior to finalization. Do we have the same "review"?
So i called cic and the agent toldme since they have asked my spouse to submit her medical which she did on 28th july, now what we wil receive will be the passport call and that takes from three weeks of medical submission to 2months time, and that is the standard processing time from 3weeks to 2months and within that time period i wil recive passport call.
But here i am wondering that my processing time has exceeded to 20.5months ( im dec 20-5 inland applicant) and what if this last stage time period also exceeds to more than two months !
Who knows how much more time we have to suffer even though its been over the head now!!

And now im thinking i should even forget and leave all the hope that i will be getting my PR anytime sooner. Stop hoping and waiting, thats all i want to do now

We need to find out how much time cbsa takes before sending the outcome of security clearance after receiving input from csis.
I have ordered my 3rd GCMS and CSIS notes. Also, I have requested formal security screening status from CSIS.
