I WONDER WHY CIC DONT HAVE ANY ACCOUNTABILITY .THEY DONT FOLLOW TIMELINE .THEY DONT CARE ABOUT APPLICANTS AND THEN THEY EXPECT US TO THINK THAT THEY WOULD PROCESS WITHIN TIME WHICH WONT HAPPEN

I start to think, shall we update our CV and send to cic by ourself? In case they send background verification to our references but couldn't get reply in time? Is that the reason why it takes this long time for " security check"?

So frustrating!! I received an update from CIC asking for CV while other receiving PPR! I just got the email!

I think you have already passed the security check, they are moving forward to the last step" background verification". Once you update your CV, I think your application will be done in no time.

no alex don't do that .Don't provide any additional documents unless they ask you to do it .They are crazy they might put you in the back of queue just like some of the guys who did medical upfront .Its better to order gcms notes .I ordered gcms notes and god knows when would they send them so that I can find out what is going on .

30 days from the date you've ordered them usually you get them a few days early.

Everyone has come this far just have to wait it out a little more. I am one of those applicants just have to wait no point boiling your blood

No, basically they are going to start the security just now!! I know that I need wait at least 3-6 months now!

Then we might be on the same boat. My BG has been not applicable this whole time. At least you know yours is getting started. I don't know about mine.

Thanks! applying through PNP is just waist of time! until now no one touched my file because basically you provide your nomination and police certificate to meet the eligibility and criminality! MR is you pay and pass! the only thing that they should do is just the security that they I don't when they are going to start! seems that if you have more qualification you need to wait more (doing MS and PhD in Canada)!!

yes it wasted my 3 years 1 years for pnp and 16 months ++ for federal .Don't know how much more time would it take .Had I applied thru express I would have got my pr way back .

Dec 7 applicant. Dm 9 march and ppr 10 march. Today sent passport to ottawa. When I can expect it back?
