Well I have just been able to have an agent...
she did not even asked me for my uci.. not saying I have to wait... if I don't hear anything by end of may then call then that's really stupid... even on Facebook on cic page it's says TO call cic call centre to be able to get helped when you actually called them they just piss off and asked to wait... my background check went to in process on 11 Jan.. no News from that date

Ok bro now try this. Try calling same number but try something diff. Call them and then hit keys 3,4,0 when thry prompt diff options. By hitting these number it will lead you to study permit call agent. Then start like i came as student in canada and applied for PR and want to know update on my file. Tell them my friend told you that you guys helped him and he advised me to call you. If you can help me please. Do not worry of that they will tell you that why you choose study permit option. They will help you regardless.Then they will ask few questions and then they will look and tell you. Then ask her like is security, criminality,eligibilty is already passed. It worked for me for first time. You cam give a shout. Good luck.

Yes, mine did last week sometime. I don't think this really matters as much as Medical Request, DM and PPR though. I think BC can be in progress for months before DM, or even just a few days before DM. Think its much harder to tell from this step. I am expecting that most December applicants will get PPR in March/beginning of April and most November applicants will have PPR before then. It's all on a case by case basis though I am sure, if your file is flagged anywhere along the process, of if you've taken too long to provide medical requests etc.. I am sure your case will take longer.

I called call centre today and the agent told me to wait till I complete my 16 months

My file location is PV2 inventory and primary office is changed to Ottawa as per notes generated on 30 January.
I have lil criminal thing which was declared on all work permit ad study permit apps and got approved. Anyone in same situation?
