It happened to my account two weeks ago. Nothing happend after since. I think it is a system bug. And when Background check is done, they might send MR to us or PPR us directly.
Hey guys, I can confirm that. Mine changed to "Review of medical results If you need a medical exam, a message with instructions will be sent to you."

Medical Request for me on 2 Nov, 2016,
Did Medical exam on 19 Nov, 2016,
ME will expire on 30 Nov, 2017.

Totally have no idea what the heck is going on with their system ... I just hope it's a system error.

I wish it's not a system error. I wish finally someone remember our cases and start to process them again.

I somehow hope it is not a system glitch but the indication of the expiration of ME. Then, either they will request for another one or issue the final decision.

I called IRCC. It's a system bug and the agent said they have sent an extension request to the medical officer.

Ok. Good to know. I think they are doing something by all means. Because, CIC has to do something to achieve its own goal of this year. Otherwise, how CIC could hit the target of this year?! We are not special individule cases, we are 20% of the applicants vital to CIC to hit this year and next three years target.

Mind you my medicals expired in July. I had the same notification in mycic account. I ordered notes. It indicated that an officer changed the status to medical expired. In mid September they sent it to cio-meds to extend the medicals. So far they haven't extended it yet. They tell my MP that security is passed they are just waiting to extend the medical and review the application. But when I call they tell me the security is still in progress.

I think in your case, maybe it is completed, but the location is not in PACE yet, that's they reason why they tell you it is still in progress.

Hi, I am just curious that, do you need to do anything to let cic extend your medical exam result?

I guess cic just don't want you to blame them, so they are trying to pretend your delay is not their fault...
