In the link I posted above, that fellow concluded like this:
But if you are like me and you know you have done nothing wrong, then you can assume your background check was delayed because of reasons like
- misunderstanding
-your file being lost or assigned to a lazy clerk
-Being born in a country that is considered suspicious
-Name similarity
This reminds me of a very interesting AITP note:
it looks like this ( I use random info instead of my personal info):
Text: Name on Application changed: Old Value(s): JAMES, LERBRON, 1969/09/09, Male, Seattle, United States of America, New Value(s): JAMES, LERBRON, 1969/09/09, Male, WASHINGTON, United States of America
Text: Name on Application changed: Old Value(s): James, Lucy, 1979/08/08, Female, Portland, United States of America, New Value(s): JAMES, Lucy, 1979/08/08, Female, Oregon, United States of America
Obviously an agent changed our hometown address from city name into state/province name; and they changed our name from some lowercase into fully uppercase.
But the problem is, two notes are not in line with each other. I mean, WASHINGTON vs Oregon, JAMES LERBRON vs JAMES Lucy?
Is this the root cause of my delay? Csis may have difficulty to match files and records on my PR application due to the name difference?
Please advise
