For those who got their passport scan request.. do you have any entry/exit stamps that need translation and notarization?

I have a question for those who got a fingerprint request. Did the background check in the tracker changed to “waiting on you” or something like that? Does it show in the tracker at all?

I’m still waiting for my test to be confirmed. May I ask if your test has been confirmed in the tracker?
No not yet, the tracker is still showing "waiting on you" to take the test. I am not sure how long will it take for it to update

Hi Can you explain FP done and Sent ? how did you send....
I printed the letter I received on the email with two pieces of IDs and went to the RCMP station in my neighborhood. There are clear instructions in the letter. Just make sure you call ahead of time and ask for the fee because I had to get cash to pay it as that's the only acceptable payment method. They will guide you through the process then send the prints online to immigration and you will get a copy in the mail.

I also received the same request on Feb 24 to provide scanned all copies of passport during the eligibility period (including the blank pages)
Did you travel outside of Canada within the eligibility period? I strongly believe you did but just needed to ask. :)

Nope. Not a thing on the tracker implies that they are waiting on my fingerprints.

How soon after you get your citizenship certificate can you apply for passport. Any idea regarding the next steps.

Once you have the physical certificate or the e-certificate, you can literally go the same day to a passport office* and apply. (Note that most people will not want to mail the physical certificate although they do return it).

So your next steps are: download the application form, get your photos, start filling it out in advance even.

*Note that although they're technically part of Service Canada, there are some 'passport office' locations that provide full service i.e. accept in-person passport applications. 'Regular' Service Canada locations basically only help you fill out the passport application and do some checking and then forward it to the passport agency, more or less same as by mail. (Checking is very useful, mind.)

This sounds more complicated than it is (historical reasons that the passport agency and service canada used to be completely separate); but just check in advance to see what level of service is available at each location:

Per the invitation email for the Oath, dont you need to wait 2 business days before you apply?

"· Please keep in mind that you must wait a minimum of 2 business days after your citizenship ceremony to apply for a Canadian Passport."
