Did you check the status in the new tool....you will have an additional status for background check completion.....so might be beyond AOR

Online. Even though they dont say it looking at the trend these applications are getting processed relatively quicker

I think the problem with online is that it has an additional step (passport pages request) compared to the paper application. And you know every time they update your file they won't look at it again for several months Is there a way to send them all the paged of the passport in online application? Maybe fit them all in one file

Those who applied online in December got their papers processed very quickly

I've heard there was an online cohort in 2020 that was processed quickly because it was the test phase. This tear they are going to process only 5% of online applications. We need to see the numbers for 2021 but there is no excel file for it

Correct DEC 2020 was an exception

My citizenship test was marked to complete in July 2021 but since then there's no update. Citizenship officer suggested in communication email to send the flight tickets and visa stamp once I come to Canada because I was in India. So once I returned, I filled the web form and sent them all the info requested and in return I received an ack email "Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). " in Oct 2021 and no update since then.

People who applied for citizenship after me have their process done almost.

My language skills, prohibition and physical presence are still in progress

Should I be writing them another one? Or just wait?

I'd say, just wait. Make sure that the officer received your documents (e.g. follow up via phone or your local MP, they know a direct phone). IRCC is very slow in replying messages unless you have something urgent

Lots of people who applied before you (like me) are still waiting as well, meanwhile 2021 applications have been finalized. There is no sense to the way IRCC operates. All we can do is wait.

The person applying is not a permanent resident of Canada, she lives in the States. Her father is from Canada. So does this mean she would need to apply for citizenship first? Thanks again.

as long as the father is a Canadian citizen she should already be a Canadian citizen by birth, and only need the proof that you applied for

Processing time for what you applied: 15 months ?
Applications outside Canada and the United States may take longer.

Some Calgary applicants got their invites in mid-November. Haven't gotten mine yet. Maybe we're non-routine, in which case it's probably at least one more year of waiting for us..
