IRCC will deny that later applicants than you are progressing before you, and they will not give you any useful info.
that's a bummer

Update (Montreal office):
I've been scheduled to take the oath on Dec 20.
That's relatively quick - that's only 11 days away! Congratulations! :D

Looks like Montreal office is trying to meet year end SLAs to get their bonus

Not sure if this is the right forum for this, but just looking for any potential advice and really appreciate any help :)

Back in November 2020 I submitted an application for a citizenship certificate by mail from the USA to Nova Scotia. Since it was a first time applying, there was no UCI to include. I had tracking and it arrived with confirmed delivery. I never got a AOR or any updates. Sent an email in April 2021 and the response was it was "not available in the system yet" and no other updates could be provided.

My concern is that is it has never actually been accepted by the people there, but no way to verify this. Am I being too impatient. Thoughts or advice on finding more info?

Did you apply for Canadian Citizenship (grant)? (I'm not sure what is "an application for a citizenship certificate")

Did you apply for Grant of Citizenship? You may need to further clarify. Citizenship Certificate can be applied for/ obtained after the Oath Ceremony. Most applications are identified with the UCI number if you chose that Identifier option. Yes it could have been delivered by the Courier Company but there must be a UCI number on your documentation with CIC. Its on your PR Card. If it says 'Not available in the system yet' You may need to re-apply to be on the safe side. Its been over a year......

Hey Guys,

Just did my oath!

Wishing luck to everyone who is waiting!

Time to pop some champagne! :)

Officially Canadian! :)
You deserve it. Congratulations so far!!!!

Thanks!
Didn't get the email yet, tracker only updated with the oath date this morning.
When did you do your citizenship test? In my tracker, everything updated to completed on December 1st, 2021, I dont know how long i will have to wait for the oath. :( :( (montreal office)

Well, yeah. But go ahead and submit webforms and complaints, even if they don't respond. Someone with heart might read your messages and decide to forward it to local office if you have been waiting for so long.

Your timeline is the same as a colleague of mine from Scarborough, everything completed Dec 1st.

I took the test in mid-August. If it's the same officer handling our files it probably won't be long till you get your oath invite.
