Congrats! And thanks for your wishes. I appreciate it. May I ask you to share your timeline after the test? e.g. test date, DM, Oath invite and Oath ceremony. Thanks!
I didn't need to take the test as 55+, DM was Aug 4, Oath invite Nov 23, Oath Ceremony Dec 3. I am in the spreadsheet, but it doesn't seem to have been updated.

Hey guys! So I followed up with my MP a couple of weeks ago and they contacted IRCC. It was not at all useful and there was nothing that wasn't already reflected in the tracker.
One thing that stood out for me was that it said
"immigration checks not initiated"
What does that mean?
Keep in mind that they requested scanned pp copies and they received them October 7th. Montreal office.

I think it means background checks are in progress.

Our applications are very much in the same state. Background verification was completed on April 12th for me. Passport copies sent on October 4th, then nothing  I requested notes under the privacy act, waiting on that.

Mine was received by IRCC on the 17th November 2020. I wrote the test on the 3rd of December 2021. Can anyone suggest what will happen next? I know its a very long process.

I applied for Citizenship in Nov 2020, it’s been a year and only update I have is that background check is complete .
I applied by mailing In application, and I believe the whole process has been changed to online somewhere mid summer 2021 ?
my real concern is that PR card expires in May 2022, not sure if I should apply to get new card or just wait for my case to move.
Maybe I should call or email them , haven’t dealt with IRCC since I landed In may 2017.
I will suggest that you apply for the PR card renewal now if you may want to travel toout of Canada within the next one year

My tracker got updated today: You've been scheduled to take citizenship test online between December 1, 2021 and December 22, 2021. Information and instructions will be sent to you.

I don't receive any email invite yet for the test, is this normal or will it take some more time to get the official email?

The next step will be DM (Decision Made). IRCC will update your Physical presence, Language skills and Prohibitions to complete. To do this, they will request a copy of your passport (all pages). It may take 1-2 months

After this step, you will wait for 4-6 months for the Oath invitation and 2-4 weeks for the Oath Ceremony. Then you will wait again for the Citizenship certificate (2-4 weeks).

All timelines are estimates, it may be faster or longer depending on your situation, processing office, mood of an immigration officer, angular position of any given star in the sky, gravitational pull of the moon and many other reasons we don't know
