I have my last update on April 23. So, I contacted my MP and they sent me a detailed message after contacting IRCC. One of the points they mentioned is,
  • "The application is considered non-routine due to the following reason:
    • the file is under review because it requires further verifications. Rest assured that the responsible office will inform the applicant, if they have to provide further details."
Does this mean it requires further verifications other than the ones that are mentioned on the online tool ?

Few days back, I ordered my GCMS notes and it doesn't have any "further verifications" mentioned in it. In the location sections it says "test ready".

Any input on this is much appreciated.

"further verifications" for him/her to do,,, so Twilight zone

Are there examples of people not having any updates even after their due dates have passed? i.e. my partner was in process March 17 with background check completed on April 12, does that mean he might expect at least a test invite by sometime in December? Currently his application is stuck on April 23 like many others

I am assuming they will be under "non-routine" path. I can't give you much insight regarding why applications are not processing after the due date.

However, your partners processing date is almost similar to mine. My application started processing in March 23 and background completed in April 12 but I've received my test date in July 9th. Luckily my application did not update during April 23.

I hope someone can shed more lights onto your inquiry.

UPDATE :p:p

Hey guys - quick question
We applied for Citizenship grant in November and our Background check was completed in March, dead ever since , meanwhile just last we got our Ukrainian passports replaced because we had really old passports and can’t really travel with them .
do we need to contact IRCC and give them new information about our new passports ? They have new serial numbers and expiration dates .

thanks
