Genuinely happy for applicants in the Toronto area, but some offices like Calgary (my file's assigned there) are extremely slow at sending out test invites. I hope the Calgary office is able to pick up their huge backlog given AB's reopening!

Please How do you know where your file is assigned. Thank you

Happy Canada Day!

I have received a test invite. Test window is between 2nd July - 22nd July. Will update as soon as I take it. A little nervous as its been a long time since I appeared for any test. And never been good with history.

Best of lucks. Practice test are very helpful

Definitely.....as they say "if winter comes can spring be far behind"......am sure the family applications considering the number of people per case will take longer....Just wanted to see if my observation is true....
I wish this for everyone of them. It's been a long journey with IRCC so far. We came this far I'm sure we can see the end of it.

Not sure if I am the only one, but in my case, out of 4 applicants, only my wife's BG check is marked as complete on 9th April. For rest of us, it still shows in progress. I hope there is nothing to worry about. Any guidance will be appreciated.

There's no guidance. The best you can do is wait, honestly. BG check takes time case by case basis. If you are really wanna know what's happening with your file then you can order a GCMS note

I just gave IRCC a call. They should be able to provide you the information. I've called a couple of times and the agents have consistently said Calgary, so I think the information is true.

Thanks

Does anybody know roughly how long it takes for your file to reach the nearest IRCC office to your location after BG check is complete? My BG check was completed on May 26, and I just got my GCMS notes. It seems like my file is still in CPC Sydney until now. Thanks.

BTW, congratulations to those who received their test invites! Hopefully, the rest of us would follow suit!

Even my file was just at cpc sydney for 6 months after AOR before the send it to local office. I dont know why do it even though there is no background check issues but it is what it is.
