I had my medical test done in December 2019. And these results are valid for 1 year only. As I see how slowly the office in Warsaw works, I'm afraid it will take them longer than 1 year to complete my application for PR. And consequently in December 2020 they may send a new request for medical test. Thus it looks like we cannot grow as a family until they finish the process?
Our solution is both move to third country to live together while waiting for Canada PR.

Hola, ¿Alguien ha solicitado una visa de turista TRV después de solicitar el patrocinio familiar y fue aceptado para la visa TRV después de COVI-19 ?????

Unfortunately I think is much more than that. I called Immigration Canada last week and the agent told me that it can go up to 2 years. I don't know for sure about the 2 years but maybd 6 months
Whoa, whoa! So our normal processing time will go from 1 year to 2 years? Can anyone confirm that?

Only IRCC can confirm anything. Stop assuming and if you like, start helping those who are running a campaign to make the Canadian government understand the issue of delayed processing.

I am not assuming. I am asking a question based on what the member said, "I called Immigration Canada last week and the agent told me that it can go up to 2 years ". Asking and confirming something does not equate to assuming.

It has always been the case that it can go up to two years. In rare cases, even longer. The call centre agents are just saying numbers. At present, no one know how much extra time it will take due to covid. Before covid it was relatively consistent that about 80 percent of files took less than twelve months, the other twenty percent were more complex for whatever reason and took longer. Right now it looks like that 80 percent in twelve months will not hold, but any other statement right now is really just a guess.
