Thanks! And were you able to link right after COPR? On another thread someone said they managed right after receiving the document. I was wondering if I should wait a bit longer...

I thought that the PR card app can only be linked once IRCC has received your photo and entered it into their system. It doesn't take a long time, but I'd give it at least a week. Once you get the birth city figured out though, it's worth a try at any time!

Hey guys,
I was wondering to know if the officer will get back to check on your application before the required date when they are requesting a document(i.e. normally they give you 3 months to provide a document will they get back to check during that time or they have internal reminder for 3 months).
Thanks

It means sponsorship is ok. However there is some trap stones in Background or security. Might be there are some people shared same name. Our name and birthdate would be cross checked with Some lists. Or government employee history or traffic accidents or children custody would be delayed processing time.

Is there any November applicant here still waiting for AIP or COPR?
Application received - Nov 13th 2019. We're still waiting for AIP. Spouse received the SA mail in October. We contacted the local MP. The update was that the delay is due to COVID. No negative flags on the file. We just have to wait :(

I got a question from a friend. He's a PR for 3 years now and he's been sponsored by his dad to come to Canada. He would like to sponsor his wife now.
Is he eligible to be a sponsor?

I ask because I saw that people who were previously sponsored and are pr less than 5 years can't be sponsors. I'm not sure if that applies to him.

Thank you in advance!
