November - 2019 Citizenship Applications

2019 applicants no longer receive updates as many as 2020 applicants. We are forgotten. All the movements now are for 2020 and 2021 applicants. They get their oath in less than a year, while 2019 applicants have been waiting for 2+ years, and still waiting.

Also, while we are reading some 2020 applicants receive their oath while they are outside Canada, and reschedule, many of 2019 applicants who live in Canada are waiting for their oath with no invites. I wonder why those who leave Canada don't just update their address with IRCC so that they know they are outside Canada if they cannot come back to take the oath when they are invited? They are wasting oath spots for us if they are not reallocated to others when an oath is requested to be rescheduled, which I assume it's the case.

Now it's June 16 and 22, 2019. It seems there is a trend of finalizing a week of applications every two weeks.

Now they are finalizing applications between June 30 and July 3, 2019. Definitely they are getting faster, although this last update includes less days than previous updates.

Yes, most Nov 2019 applications will be finalized by the end of Q1 2022. Bravo IRCC

For my November comrades in PR-jail, I checked my citizenship application status (new app) and my language skills, physical presence and prohibitions have now been completed. Update made on October 12, 2021. Citizenship ceremony not started. Checked the Client Application Status (old app) and my status has been changed to Decision Made. (I guess it was made the same day - October 12, 2021). Reactivating waiting mode once again.

I believe there are lot of late 2019 still waiting for test. So you are not alone.

My cousin failed her first test but on the second take she passed it, after months she received a "Notice to Appear for knowledge hearing and PII" on the form that she received there's also a checked box that stated:

You will be ask questions:
To determine if you have an adequate knowledge of Canada (if you have not passed the citizenship test) in English or French.

They also request another copy of all Passports and Travel Documents.

Is there anyone here who experience the same thing?
what questions do they usually ask?
Is she going to take the citizenship test again via Citizenship Officer even though she already passed it?

On 14 October 2021, my Citizenship Ceremony status changed from Not Started to In Progress. Today (15/10/2021) my update states I have been scheduled to attend my citizenship ceremony on October 25, 2021. I have not received any email yet though. Hopefully it comes in before then. I have never felt so relieved.
