Question guys , the ceremony invitation letter by mail or email ?

I checked again the CIC tracking website and the offensive comment on "What you can do while you wait:" was removed.
so big brother is definitely reading this forum!!! for better or worse...

i mean it’s not like they don’t have other things they could be doing, like processing applications?!

But I guess it’s more fun scrolling forums and probably putting the applications of those who complain on here to the bottom of the pile

Hi, I just saw that my eCAS is updated to DM (i'm assuming it was updated yesterday May 20). My citizenship interview was on May 19th and Language, Prohibition and physical presence were updated to completed on the new tracker on May 20.

Please update spreadsheet with DM.

Thanks!

Question: my PR card is set to expire in a couple of months. Do I need a valid PR card for my work in Canada? I am asking because I am not planning on leaving Canada any time soon, and my hope I get my passport sometime this year, and my understanding is that I only need a valid PR card if I am planning on leaving Canada so I can enter when I return. Please advice. Thanks

a valid PR card is for you when you leave this contry so you can come back
inside Canada you are a PR whether your card is expierd or not

I have a question regarding my interview request that just came in. These are some of the instructions I received in the email:

“ Before attending this event, submit all original passport(s) pages in colour and travel documents in your possession (current and expired). These must be submitted at least two days before your event date.
 Scan each passport as its own whole document, including all pages in colour, and upload as an PDF email attachment- there are free scanning apps available to download on any smartphone app store
 Failure to provide the consent form and requested documents prior to the date of your scheduled event will result your interview being rescheduled at a later date.”

So I need to get my old passport translated because there’s one stamp that is in neither English or French. Other than that, is it as simple as scanning both passports and just emailing those two PDF files to them? Seems very simple which is why this is worrying me, lol.

Also, I'm out of the country right now and this interview is scheduled for 7 hours after my arrival back in Toronto; I'll be doing to interview while at the Government approved hotel in Toronto. Do you think this presents any issues?

Others who did the interview will answer your concerns better, but I have a question regarding the translation. Did they explicitly ask you to translate stamps that are not English or French, or you must translate them regardless if they asked or not?

Great question, no they didn’t instruct me to translate it but I know that one set of stamps is in neither English or French so I am trying to be proactive.
