I got the invitation to re-take the citizenship test. Reason mentioned in the invitation is that, "we are unable to accept your test results, could be because of technical issues or required photo identification was not submitted"
i've used Provincial ID card for as photo identification as it has signature and DOB and address.
PR card was not used because it doesn't have signature on it. Only thing is it has DOB and Card expiry date.
Test Invitation document was little confusing.. it clearly says "Photo ID with signature on it" such as PR card. But our PR card will not have signature.
Can any one reply that they took the test with PR card (with out signature)as ID proof and was successful.

Hi,

Sad to hear that. Hopefully, your retake would go smooth. However, I just wanted to tell you that you can use PR card as ID proof. Please see as below.

Before you take the test
You need

  • a piece of identification (ID), like
    • your permanent resident card (even if it’s expired), or
    • a valid (not expired) ID with your photo and signature on it (for example, driver’s licence or health card)
It clearly states that you can use PR card or a valid with photo and signature. Most of the guys confusing about this.

That is sad , was the ID you used expired or with no sig ?
My wife used her PR and still waiting confirmation , any way to know if it is accepted or not ? she got the message that she passed the exam , then the website closed .

What was the time gap between you and your wife for taking the exam.
I and my wife took it immediately one after other.
So I’m GUESSING that got this issue. With other session being still active.

As soon as you submit the exam you would get unofficial score. Until unless you get the call from IRCC folks you would assume your test is accepted. Once DM in E-Cas will assure you (I would say 99.99%) you officially passed the exam.

thanks for the feedback

Some questions. Usually how many days does it take to show DM after test passed? Will we get the email or do we need to check it out by ourselves in E-CAS?

Fastest DM I saw based on this forum from ONLINE test is 2 days, the longest took around 2 months. You won't get an update for DM, only for interviews/oath.

I have nothing against folks who applied as late as December 2020 and have completed their online test already. However, it is genuinely depressing for folks like me who applied in November 2019 and continue to wait for their test.

I called CIC and was told that the order in which your application is processed simply depends on your "luck". What a joke. Absolutely disgusting.

I understand your frustration. Look at my timeline, it's been almost 2 years since I submitted the application. I understand it was delayed by a year because of COVID but it's quite depressing. As for the online applications, what can we say, they are just very lucky, even before COVID. We can only be patient, nothing much we can do beyond that.

I'm with you... I've called CIC so many times about this. Tomorrow is a sad anniversary of my "We started processing your application" so tomorrow, I'm calling CIC again and I will also call MP offices and try to schedule a meeting with someone. Btw, guys, please tweet #clear_citizenship_backlog sometime today, look it up on Twitter!

If they really told you that, and actually attributed the prioritization of received files to "luck", then you should really make a stink.

frustrating.

My exam was Mar 26, 2020 as well. Only received my online re-invite a couple weeks ago. You can try to send them a webform, it may work.
