This story fills my heart. In your situation, it doesn’t make sense making the move. But I would have taken this chance to explore Canada if I were you. All the best.Hi Guys,
I have been quite reader here every now an then. Here is my story.
AOR Nov 2018.
residency :USA
primary office: Montreal
Citizenship: INDIA
No status change or ghost emails until Procedural fairness letter in June 2019.
since my employer mentioned in my experience is in different state than my residence state, the officer said he did believe my experience.
I submitted a letter with explanation that i am software developer and my job does not require me to be onsite, i work from home and i submitted 5 pay stubs with has my employer address and my address on it. replied this with in 1 week of getting the PFL.
requested 2 GSMS notes in 2019 , no updates, eligibility still in review, security and background check not started.
Nothing in 2020, i did not request any GCMS neither did i call their support center.
Sent webform in April 2021 saying " its been 2.5 years and there is no update is there anything that i can do to take this forward"
3-4 weeks after this i got re-medical in may 2021.
PPR in June after medical passed. asked for photos and passports. sent in first week of June. Got an email to re-submit the photos. 2 weeks after re-submit i see my online forms changed to approved and COPR expiry set to 1 year from my medical 05/2022.
Online form shows my back ground check was completed in April 2021 may be just before i got re medical email.
Through out this i never got any ghost emails.
I was very eager in 2019 to move from USA to Canada, got only short term lease and planned what i want to do in Canada after i move there. Now i am not sure, i might not even go. Got house and both me and my wife got good paying jobs.
this is what i learnt from this process : " what is important today may not be important tomorrow".
Hopefully, they will also issue CoPRs for those approved after march 18, 2020 based on GCMS notes. What do you think @legalfalcon?Yeah, I have just seen the news too:

It's kind of lucky to be assigned to Montreal instead of Ottawa but anyway it's a long wait...i think your file might be stuck at security screening or something else as you mentioned the background check was completed in April 2021 (a super long time)Hi Guys,

The application is locked the day you submit it. Any changes post submission do not matter.@legalfalcon
I'm Express entry applicant with AOR is Nov'2019. Last I check with IRCC my application was approved and final decision was pending.
I've shifted my company in Aug 2020, moved to a different city and have not informed IRCC about it yet. I've got two quick questions:
1. What kinda proof do I have to submit for address change?
2. Do I have to submit any kind of documents from my new employer?
Thanks in advance for your reply!
Me too! Plus the green card situation in USA for Indians is crazy. Need the peace of mind we'll get in Canada. This story fills my heart. In your situation, it doesn’t make sense making the move. But I would have taken this chance to explore Canada if I were you. All the best.
YEs, you will have to inform IRCC. Although since your spouse is a PR, no documents will be required, except your spouse's passport, marriage certificate and PR card, but if your family composition changes you have to inform IRCC.@legalfalcon : I've been waiting for COPR like everyone else here since November 2019. My GCMS notes say approved since Dec 2020 but still there hasn't been any movement. Back in 2019, I had filed in Single status. Now I'm married and my partner already has Canadian PR. Should I add that to my application? Will it expedite or delay my processing?
Hey its completely understandable...it has been really frustrating...but i am sure we all would regain the energy once things start moving in few months...I really hope this news about CoPR holders being able to travel to Canada will result in some movement for us. I am so mad for all the waiting.
My application was approved on March 20, 2020... Two days after the general lockdown and travel ban. I lived in Canada for all of 2020, and no CoPR for me. I moved back to Europe and still no CoPR.
Now everything is "green", travel ban between the EU and Canada has been lifted. Will I receive my damn document!?
Sorry guys, I am just venting.
I, WE, spent thousands of dollars for a country that has forgotten about us. They just don't care and yet keep issuing new invitations. I am not even sure it is still worth it. I found a job, restarted my life after Covid, and so on. If I received my PR today, I am not sure I would have the energy and the willingness to leave my job again and move to Canada with no perspectives.
Sorry for the rant.
