Nope, you can take Medical without any reference letter, all you need is to provide your passport details.

In my case also they asked however, I told that I wanted to do it pre medicals or you can say upfront medicals. You can do that.

See the logic is simple.

They are not issuing anymore PRs even for In-landers because of the current Covid situation, amidst lack of employment and job losses, mounting unemployment they don't want additional burden on the already stressed system (due to addition of these PR holders who wont have jobs or lose jobs). Luckily for them outlanders are indirectly taken care of because they cant travel anyways with border closed...

They are inviting applicants every 2 weeks, because it generates revenue for Canada which they don't would not afford losing.

Simple, yet I haven't thought about it even once... Maybe because it doesn't apply to me (at least for now), I am hoping to keep my job with or without PR.

Ok Covid etc I get it but they should at least make a statement what's next, any plan they have, whatever. They simply don't care about potential permanent residents, people's lives depend on it. Millions of things are on hold here. I don't see Canada's greatness anymore. Really, it's just bs. Can you get the full fee back if you withdraw your application?

I agree with you. While I think that it is totally reasonable from Canada to close the border and to avoid issuing any CoPR because of the covid, they should really have a clearer plan. Re-evaluating the situation every month makes no sense: they should just say that they will not issue any CoPR for 6 months so that everyone can plan his/her life accordingly.

Agree the impact can be huge and implications can be far reaching. I personally know of someone in-land candidate in senior role (with highschool, college going kids) has been invited to apply for PR, he has paid all fees and now things are on hold. He is completing his assignment, he is on ICT which is closed visa. He cant quit this organization as other companies cant hire him. WHAT NEXT??? He cant apply for any other visa, student visa and start studying because then your current PR process will be stalled.

I am also holding on, but dont know for how long if the economy doesn't improve, companies are already squeezing the onsite headcount...

anyways guy just didnt want to sound negative, just expressed what the implications can be...

Like everyone can only keep praying and hoping things improves quickly...

Just to correct u ircc makes no money from pr applications. It is loss making product in past and after recent revision it is breakeven now
