Still waiting for COPR

Work permit is expiring at the end of August and same time my health card. But I am pregnant and often go for check up. Any suggestions?
Did you apply for BOWP (bridge open work permit) using AOPR letter ? If yes, then you won't have any problem continuing with your healthcard and other things as SIM number. With "implied status" all of these will continue to function and remain valid till a decision has been made on your PR application.

I had similar issue and I verified with Service Ontario on the health-card and service Canada for the SIN number.

Yeah I already applied for BOWP on May 30. Do I need call service Ontario or I can continue with same health card.
because when I discussed with my doctor, she said that I have to pay, if health card is expired.

you can just get it renewed at service Canada.

An update from my side.. Got my 2nd set of notes yesterday.. Looks like they are tagging Outland cases with an ORGANIZATION: CN COVID PACE as I can see this new entity in my 2nd notes which wasn't there in my 1st one..

Did you get any update after this? I see the same thing on my GCMS note.

I applied for extension of my work permit.. it is in process.. biometrics are not because all offices are closed.
for PR I called cic two times and same response both times that waiting for final decision.
And thanks

You do not need to extend your health card at this moment if nearest service-ontario is closed due to covid-19. Even it expires, health centers will continue to accept it under current conditions. However, when nearest service-ontario opens, you should be able to extend the health-card based on your BOWP acknowledgement letter (implied status). All temporary workers are covered under providential health-care during "implied status" condition.

Once your BOWP is approved, you will have a permit to extend your health card further if needed unless you receive your COPR before that.

This information was provided to me when I called service-ontario couple of months back (mar-apr).

Similar thing happened with me. My Work visa was expiring on 4th July. My PR was approved on 9th April but I wasn’t getting COPR. Then I waited till the last day and applied for BOWP on 3rd July. On 6th July I received my COPR. So I got my BOWP cancelled so I can get refund. Now the thing is you have to apply for BOWP and should not go out of status before getting COPR, otherwise that can impact your PR process and they can ask you to go back to your home country and apply visa from there. Once you apply for BOWP you go in implied status and of course you will get COPR before that since biometric centres are closed.

I went to get a new health card , and the lady told me Govt has extended coverage for everybodys OHIP for two months due to covid, even if you were on work permit. You can call then and and get a confirmation. I went to Service Ontario downtown Hamilton.

OHIP is extended till September, call service Ontario and confirm. Else you would have to take private health insurance.

I have a question from someone who might have sent photos with COPR. After how many days after receiving the photos do they update your account ? My photo was delivered in IRCC Montreal on Wednesday, today is Friday and it has not been updated on my CIC account.

After receiving photos they won’t update in your account. If you have linked your pr card application to our account it’s status will change to approved once they dispatch your card. Until then it will be in submitted status.
