I just spoke to an agent about my application and all I heard is Pandemic this- Pandemic that. If that's grealty affecting them why they're still intaking thousands of new application and to top that off they're even starting new programs (Of course because it brings money). The most bullshit and ridiculous agency I've ever seen. Should have applied for NZ or AU instead of wasting all that money on application fees, lawyers, ielts exams and over 1.5 years of my life.
Does anyone here knows how to contact a higher authority so that I can ask them why their visa officer can't do a simple 15 minute job of sending a finalization email over the span of 6 months?
I ask the agent about it and told her to provide me a logical response but all I heard was she fumbling with words and fill out a webform. We all know that webform is lamer and all I'm gonna get is one of their generic patheic-ness.
Yeah,every time we get the same response from the IRCC agents. COVID-19, Officers are working at reduced capacity blah bla.
Thousands of people are waiting for finalizing their applications since 2018-2019. It is really frustrating. Even I don’t understand why they r making excuses of covid; as officers just work on computers; they can work from home or anywhere.; they don’t need to see the people to issue COPR/ PPR etc. Moreover they r still taking so many applications and sending invitations. At least they should finalize applications that r stuck with no response for more than year.. no idea what’s really going on

Can't they just give us an update? We've spent so much money so far. Now applicants are stuck, lives on hold, indecision on whether to do this or that. Really frustrating.

Thanks for the response. When were your passports received by IRCC? And then when did you receive back?
Also, are you saying you got your passport back only after sending email?
As legalfalcon points out, this delay might be a function of staffing issues, holidays at end of 2020 and now lockdown in Ontario.
Exact dates I do not remember but IRCC received the very next day of shipping by FedEx Priority. Within 10 days I received back (the very next day they shipped by FedEx Priority). I did not send any email but I am suggesting you because you are waiting for 1 month. LegalFalcon is also right.

@legalfalcon
sir please help me with one more thing, we received our marriage certificate on 13.01.2021 with my husband's permanent address, but he is currently employed in another state and his new passport is issued with his current rental address of other state, also his bank address is same as his current address . Will it create any issue regarding mismatch of address with marriage certificate? will the address in marriage certificate matters?
thanks for your help in advance

Address has nothing to do with your EE application. It is only in some countries the address is added to the marriage certificates, but is of no consequence to your application.

I am not sure why other organizations work full capacity during Covid with modification to their work and IRCC is unable to implement any modification to their work to work with cose to full capacity. It is very disappointing and embarrasing for their history. Covid is equal to no work and live at home.

Not necessary. Meds have to be valid when your application is under process as well as when you land. If your meds had expired or about to expire, IRCC will send the for reassessment and the regional medical officer makes a determination on whether to extend them or ask for remeds.

If you have "recommended interview," unless that has been waived, your eligibility will be pending.

Check your GCMS notes for other stages if they are passed.
