I had applied for WP extension, which is approved and valid but I didn’t apply for Visa extension.

You cant apply for a Visa extension-there is no such thing- you would have applied to extend your status as a worker. Once your WP is valid you are good to go. You only need a visa if you decide to leave and re-enter Canada (like you go in a vacation etc.)

When we get our PR (let it be so dear Lord) , then that can be used to re-enter the country if we go on vacation.
Correct, I was more thinking travelling before receiving PR card (not that i have received COPR yet :( or plan to travel) but good to know the options

CoPR are only being issued to applicants who are already in Canada (CEC). Outland applicants will not get CoPR straightaway, it will be a usual process, PPR --> Passport Submission --> CoPR.

Are you sure? Because I am an inland applicant but I travelled for vacation and now stuck in India.
does this make any difference?
just a couple days ago I got requested for RPRF and I paid it immediately. my agent said that we will directly receive COPR.
would you have any idea about this?

Once the work permit is valid-thats what matters. My spouse got an OWP visa before we entered Canada and that expired June 2018. At the POE, he was issued the actual work permit. Since then his work permit has been extended twice but since he is already in Canada they haven't asked for his passport to stamp a Visa. So his work permit is valid but his visa expired.
The only issue would be if he needs to leave Canada.....that's when he would need a valid visitors visa to re-enter the country and that's a non-issue right now as none of us will be travelling until we know the status of the PR application.
Thanks, I have the same understanding hence didn’t apply for Visa extension. However, I am wondering if this could delay the COPR request, as per the webform response received around end of april, everything was completed on my profile. Thanks

You are good. As I said- you cant apply to renew a work permit visa- you apply to extend your status as a worker and they mail the physical work permit. The visa is only sent when you are outside Canada and the physical permit hasn't been issued as yet. Once you maintain a valid status in the country that is all you need.
No need to worry.

Has anyone who got ADR this month already got any Eligibility/Security/Background update after ADR submission ???
