Good day! Our application has been transferred to Mexico today! I know it's a long-running office, but I'm so glad he moved. Does it take many days for the background check to begin? My timeline (Brazilian Applicant)

26/02/19 Approval of sponsor
28/02/19 Request for medical exams
13/03/19 Approval of medical exams

Also took 8 months for me too, but mine was transferred to London... for now no updates and hope it won’t take longer than 12 months.

Just wait couple of dates after receiving email about file transfer and it should show up on ecas: we start processing your application on ...... date...

I'm visiting family in Norway till August 20th so I'm choosing not to consume my vacation with this issue as we are all together anyway

Finally got the file transfer email. Took over 7 months!
No update on GCKEY or ECAS yet though.
God knows how long LVO will take now.

I hope the file gets processed within the processing time, as there's some scary stuff about London Visa Office out there on the forums.

Ours was transferred on Feb 7th, 2019 and ever since we haven't gotten any updates. My husband is literally going crazy because it's been completely radio silence ever since.

Has anyone else experienced this? Our deadline is November 5th.

Hi, I’m in the same case than you. file was transferred to Mississauga on March 1st. I’m also from France and my application was received Nov 5th. I called Cic last week and they say that I’m still in the deadlines so there is nothing to do at this point just wait ... where did your file was transferred ?

This is so crazy, so many people and some getting everything in 5 months or less while others have been waiting 8 months or more and hear nothing. I am a Canadian citizen and I am applying to bring my Russian wife and her son back to Canada with me. We applied November 21, medical and biometrics were submitted before the end of February and then our application was sent to Warsaw. Warsaw acknowledged receiving it May 3 and that is it. We created an cgkey account to connect our application but that is useless. They have not update it since they created the file in February. How do I know? The cgkey page has a mistake, they are saying we have not submitted fingerprints but when we contacted them, they told us that they have her fingerprints and there are no problems. So the last time the page was updated was sometime in February.
