Yesterday I called and they told me they haven't transferred the applications because the Mexico office is very busy with the Havana applications, but that's not our problem they should hire more agents.

I totally agree with you but they assure me our file will be processed in the proper timeline but I don’t believe that at all

If they keep adding countries to the Mexico office I doubt very much that our applications will be processed in less than 12 months. I think it's stupid that countries like Brazil have their own VO are transferred to Mexico, just like Trinidad and Tobago, that just delays things for everyone.

CIC is so inconsistent and have no true answer at the call centre but if you follow the Mexico forum you will see people been waiting long. I just pray to be with my husband soon.

The Mexico forum gives me some hope, most people receive news a month before completing the year.

Yea the only consisten message I’ve heard is that things take long at the VO in Mexico. All of us waiting on that VO can expect to wait until the 12 month processing timeline. I am six months in, how about others?

So CIC cannot confirm your file has been transferred? I have not received a transfer notification or email of any sort but when I called the other day they told me my file had already been transferred to the VO in Mexico.

Depends on how soon your VO stamps passports. Ask around in the threads specific to your local VO for an estimated time.

Do you have a rep ? if not the sponsor approval goes to the sponsor email . sometimes you may find it in the junk/spam folder
